Ah, yes, the trolleybus. I've seen them on a trip in Beijing, and after some research, they do seem to be a staple of Soviet-influenced countries. But I wonder why no other country outside the Soviet sphere seems to take them seriously. Now I know why.

the main issue is the above ground cables needed to power the vehicle. They kinda, you know, ruin the aesthetic. or something like that.
Also old run down crappy Skoda trolleys we have here might also be one issue.
