Well at some point it would be a great idea if someone were to compile all guide or links to guides in a single post or tread. We have a ton of treads and even tread about modding or the various parts of modding seems to be scattered over a large number of treads, so good idea Baronus.

Edit: I just noticed this tread by Baronus currently has 38 more views than the tread I started about 'Researching how to add new objects' Baronus, I blame you for this.. - the reason.. I'm not quite sure of, perhaps your name just has a better attraction than mine

My thread is for info about new resources not for tutorial how it can be done. Some threads is wise solution if each is about other question. If we open new guide thread we cant discuss there! No posts eg. Hi how to add my tower into game? Posts like this in fast time will destroy topic which shoud be only for fast modding info.

There is no detailed tutorial for adding new objects to the game. Actually it was qwuite confusing for me some things. For example, should I add the extra hexes at the end or not? Etc.

A nice thread explaining all about putting in new objects wpould be nice.

So far the only object I could make was Magic Lamp (genie and efreet bank), and it doesn't use a new image.

Not only that but I have mostly forgotten how I even made it :V

Nimo again I refer you to the tread 'Researching how to add new objects'
A guide has recently been posted there, but also it would be the tread where any additional info linked to adding/editing objects in new ways, like how entrance values work etc. should be posted.

Baronus, I know this tread isn't for such guide(s), that is why I suggested a new tread specifically for it. It would be easier with a dedicated tread that could either contain such guides or links to where useful modding info/guides can be found.
As I wrote, there's already a few, but you hve to look for them. Rather it should be compiled and made sticky.

Radmutant and I are working on adding a large number of objects. Some, existing objects that will be mirrored, some, new objects based on obstacles from the combat map and a few new ones. I'll just list the planed objects here.

ADVENTURE OBJECTS

CREATURE BANK
16 mirrored Creature Banks
+ potentially the Magic Lamp with original image.

CREATURE GENERATORS (DWELLINGS)
42 mirrored Creature Generator.
(most south facing objects, don't need mirroring).

MINES
2 weekly mines mirrored.
Potentially: Exhausted Mines.

MISCELLANEOUS
6 adv. objects mirrored.
+ potentially new Garrison.

MOVEMENT MODIFIERS
24 objects mirrored.

POWER UPS
14 objects mirrored.

SEER'S HUT (QUEST HUTS)
15 objects mirrored.

SHROUD REMOVERS
6 Hut of Magi mirrored.

SKILL ENHANCER
6 objects mirrored.

LANDSCAPE OBJECTS

BURNED OUT BUILDINGS
4 buildings mirrored.

COLUMNS
7 new/mirrored objects.

CRATES
15 objects

DEAD CREATURES
Planned on adding 4 'dead creature objects' for each creature type.

FLOWERS
21 new objects.

LOGS
10 new objects.

MOUNTAINS
1 new object.

MUSHROOMS
18 new objects.

ROCKS
17 new objects.

ROPE
5 new objects.

RUINS
7 new objects.

SACK
4 new objects.

SHRUBS
99 new objects

SKELETONS
7 new objects,

TREES
+55 new objects,

WALLS
2 new objects.

WATER OBJECTS.
4 new objects.

Creature Quest huts - potentially - (these are time consuming to create, so it may depend on wheter there's any demand for these).
Add remaining Creature Quest huts, that Equilibris didn't add in v.3.55.

I would like to change the adventure map terrains if someone finds a way

@Trashid, NimoStar came up with a solution for this, as I don't think we're any closer to adding/enabling new or non-enabled terrain types. Rather we can add them as lanscape objects. Ofc this means terrain types will still display below type on the minimap, but still it should be a work around. Things ro be aware of though, is to use object types that will always appear behind other objects as well as making sure the 'terrain objects' can be placed next to eachother and avoiding the inserting of larger objects in a small image, thus making it unable to be place at the map borders.

I don't know if there is a limit - besides map size
There are certain limitations when it comes to interactive objects or impassable (blocked) objects, but that seem to have to do with the way we insert images (into existing objects) and how hex codes correspond to certain info.
If we use decoratives (like bones) which are passable you can likely insert really large images. The largest I've inserted was 116 x 97 pixels, that was just a test to see how big it was in the editor, not to test possible import size. The image was a dead unicorn in 100% size as it appears in combat. The largest in game objects are about 250 x 250 pixels (Dragon City and Hexis Castle), but it wouldn't be hard to test images eg. 500x500 or 750x750 if just to test.
Edit: sorry the largest images are obiously the Delete Me Now's - 613x513.

Do you have something specific in mind? Like the images you posted from H3 modders?

513 x 613! Great! Will be good to know a cap.
And I think we can build original H4 saves not copy paste from H3.

I might play around with max sizes this week and let you know. I didn't mean we should bring in stuff from H3, but was asking if you wanted to make landscaping images like the ones you linked to earlier?
