I hope it is contagious, needs to spread to Europe fast imho. The boost to the economy, safer communities, and a gun (or a dozen) for every home the true dream.

depends on the mentality.

Here where I live, I wouldn't trust a gun to like 99% ppl, the military and police included.

but kebab removal is long overdue. khokhol removal as well.

On one hand I wouldn't want to arm my rivals, on the other hand if we had America's gun regulations we could easily execute a coup with all the weapons we get.

And then no one would oppose us expelling the mafia, migrants, northeners and the chinese.

Yeah, the Italians wouldn't want to have to endure the Vespers.

I came across an article the other day, cant locate it now, it said that if we take mass shootings as shootings with 4+ casualties (including the shooter), the U.S. today has more than one per day. It was something like 366 per year. It stated that every time gun laws are to be discussed after a mass shooting, the pro-gun people say "it is not the right time now, everybody is emotional" but acording to their statistics, the right time would never come since there is at least one mass shooting every day.

That's the thing though it's not so much a problem of the secon amendment so much as who is an American citizen. Citizenship ought to have different tiers n levels.

@artu:

It's anything to avoid the issue. Widespread glorification of guns as symbols of freedom and power + 15 minutes of fame + mental health issues = lots of mass shootings.

Even the NRA, with its extensive influence in Congress, has admitted that bump stocks might be a problem. The fact that the NRA has felt compelled to draw a line means that line might be further tightened over time.

But, I don't expect mass shootings to go away anytime soon. If you're non-American and are confused why America is so eccentric and unteachable with her guns, you need to realize this in order to understand the problem: the US gun debate for the most part is not an intellectual debate. It's more like a clash of cultures. It's about vanity and the pro-gun lobby culture feeling that its identity is threatened. It's not a matter of convincing them through arguments because most of them don't want to be persuaded.

If you're schooled in human behavior, then you know that to take something away from a person's identity is perceived by them as a direct attack. That is why pro-gun Americans are so protective of gun rights. They consider it part of who they are.

In the US, guns are frequently associated with freedom, self-reliance, power, and physical/sexual potency. This attitude has largely been exacerbated by the NRA over the past few decades, which uses its exceptionally deep pockets to advertise gun ownership and gun culture. If you zoomed back to the 1940s, US attitudes during the golden generation were quite different.

A cleansing of the undesirables of a population via an armed civilian mob without regulation or mediation through a central government & police authority. **** yo, what could possibly go wrong? Other than the fact that I literally described what ISIS is, it's basically a foolproof plan.

Sicily forever. **** the mafia. **** Chinese people.
