Sorry guys

but I'm liable to go batcrap crazy once again, and soon at that. Apparently bipolar disorder is seasonal. This doesn't necessarily mean I will go batcrap crazy, only that I'm likely to go batcrap crazy. Once the month is up, the likelyhood of me going batcrap crazy will go down to normal levels.

This time though, I have proper meds, which I'm taking diligently. That said, it might be prudent to ban me for a while, if only to pre-empt stuff like last year's shenanigans.

So, you're like a werewolf handcuffing yourself to the radiator on full moon, huh? Hope it all goes well. What happened last year, I don't recall anything too dramatic apart from the fred versus mods stuff.

Thanks for the heads-up, Poly. Not going to ban you just yet, but we'll know what's going on when you do fly up the tree.

Ye used to it, first time my mum had it was when I knew I am truly a gifted SOB, most kids will look at their loved ones the same regardless if they've "lost it", but me, I was running risk assessments upon risk assessments setting down parameters in a cold and calculating manner as she was shouting and screaming at 4am to around 7, in the end if she made any sort of move other than shouting nonsensical phrases and waving a pool cue around, she would've been dead in an instant (idk how, I felt every fibre of my being poised to that end, this is of course my beloved mother, but in that moment she were something else). Looking back at my 17yr old self I respect that ability to be on top of an unexpected crisis (the standoff that lasted for 3 hours, I was unflinching, this was broken with my little sisters waking up to the commotion, at which point I had different priorities than prior to that). (i was in the living room sleeping up till about 4, when the shouting and banging woke me).

Still don't really get bipolar after 5 other "major episodes", from what mum tells me she remembers them, but I can attest she showed zero signs of cognitive awareness, or if she was, she was seeing us completely differently, and vice versa.

It's November, and I haven't gone crazy! This probably means I was needlessly scared to death.

If it's any consolation, being scared to death needlessly can count as going crazy.

I believe I read in a flatearthsociety.org magazine that large quantities of alcohol can help stabilize bipolar.

Lithium 500 mg twice a day and Ripedon 1mg once a day.
Basically what happened was, it seemed that my depression - didn't know I was bipolar then - was letting up, so I was weaned off mood stabilizers, don't remember what brand and then I low-key started being more impulsive, more social, more carefree, with lowered inhibitions, which culminated in a violent manic episode, of which I remember comparatively little.

There were delusions of grandeur, of omnipotence, audiovisual hallucinations. then a couple months-long period of hypomania, mild mania, with no-one explaining clearly enough what exactly was wrong with me, extreme physical changes... all along the hypomanic period I knew something was off, really off, and I couldn't put my finger on what.

And next time it happens, it all will hit me just as hard as the first time, with me rationalizing away everything that would point to it being unhealthy and dangerous, and I won't be able to do ANYTHING about it. Heck, I won't even WANT TO
