Ok so as I suspected, but I guess it just a matter of copy pasting the file names into some text document, would still take a bit of time though.

Well, I depending on where you pack the objects and what is already there, I could very likely update the H4MG to generate that list at the push of a button.

Basically, if you are going to pack the objects in a place where none of the object names currently exist, I can generate a list of items in the unmodified .h4r file, then generate the same list on the .h4r file you send me containing the object pack, and then look for the differences, which should be all of the adventure objects that you have added. Then we'll have the list of objects for the H4MG to keep track of

Anytime you update and release a new version of the object pack, I can do the same thing for the H4MG.

Okay so I've packed up the first bunch of files including some Equi stuff. A total of 189 files, Including ALL mirrored Creature Bank and Dwellings with changed lighting and shadows. The rest is a bunch of decoratives. It's packed in a ready, readable file - storm_updates.h4r. Simply place it in your Data folder and extract the files in the editor. Quick release is for NimoStar - I will pack a rar file with object list and maps for displaying and release that later on.

Edit: I'll post a new updated link, as a few dwellings were missing. also I had time to place all object in the editor for an easy aop drop file, along with maps for display. will be uploaded later today or tomorrow.

I was really hoping for the Dream Teacher mirror which was showcased on first page, it doesn't matter if the lighting is there since new releases can overwrite old ones...

Other than that, 189 (?) objects is a reallyu high number and on that I congratulate the effort that must have certainly taken.

Well, I think you still can download the rest as individual files from the link in the PNG thread. At your own risk of course

here you go Nimo Sphinx mirror

Well once we're all done there should be like +500 new objects
But yeah, even just mirroring the adventure objects took quite some time.. I believe QP's are more appreciated than congratulations or atleast I recall someone giving that impression..

Edit: compressed file can now be found in the first post. Future updates will be listed in the first post as well...

I just like the red stars and think it unfair that the mods completely neglect H4 while purely discussion threads with no content get many stars on H7 , 3, 5, etc. They even give QPs for memes and jokes :V

https://imgur.com/zXlLzyX

, but well. If I was mod I'd certain give a QP to this thread! But alas, I am not and none of us is, are we?

I agree. But I think it's also a question about we ourselves would be better to award QP's. It' not always the mods but often member that award the QP' and admitted I could think of at least a couple of posts in the H4 forum concerning modding that I think earned a QP, but at the same time, I should be better to request they'd be awarded.. I guess it's never to late to make up for that...

well hello

You can find all relevant info in this tread researching how to add new objects

You can download ResouceHelper, it allows you to convert ora images to h4d format. Use the guide in the link above.

For PNG import, you should look here. Program is still in progress, so you should contact iLiVeInAbOx05 for beta access. But with his program you can import PNG's and save them as h4d. Then rename the h4d file to obj and you can pack the files into h4r.

Care to reveal what your project is about??

Thanks! I will try to create sample object for training.

As for the project:
1. 6 campaigns with totally new story, new world
2. 10 missions per one campaign - so 60 scenarios
3. About 90 new heroes (about 8 characters per one class)
4. A lot of new adventure/terrain objects (creating unique scenery)
5. Additional music songs - without replacing existing.

Initial version of campaign will be in Polish, but ofc I would like to create English texts too.

Woaw, that's a pretty ambisious project...
I know there's alot of Polish fans, but you should consider the amount of time it will take to translate text from 60 scenarios from Polish to English, if you seek the wider audience.
But best of luck.. see you in about 10 years or so

Good luck with that
While it might be decent, it isn't 100% accurate. I used google translator to translate my campaign maps, but I found that it tends to get worse if you try to translate large amounts of texts, so it will still take a lot of time. Also all number codes and special signs in the text can mess up the translation, so some text editing is required. Ofcourse you don't have to check the translation for errors, if you can live with nonsense translations.. in fact it might just turn out funny

Well I said so it won't take forever, not that the result will be precisely good. In fact 3.5 WoG has a lot of broken english because of being made by Russian guys - and I don't think they used the automatic translator at all.

As for how numbers mess it up, I agree, but I am sure other automatic translators can ignore numbers and google isnt the only one.

And I merely suggested him to consider it An advice I was given myself and choose to follow = just doing 1 version, but then the Polish audience is waaayy bigger than the Danish

In more topic related matters, I can inform you that I've imported all of the Equi 3.55 objects, Radmutants, Mirages and most of the unfinished mirrored objects, meaning the object package v.0.55 will included more than 1.000 new objects

I have placed the storm_update that you linked last time within my game and not seen the objects to add to palette, did you sucessfully use them?

Though this may have to do with my edited .exe, I have tried it changing to no avail.

They all work for me. I can view them in the editor and they also work in game (gog version). Even Namerutan's ResHelper can view the packed objects. Both storm_updates.h4r and x2_updates.h4r works for me.

You should have a name list of the new objects in a txt file.
Also in the next update I'm including maps with all the objects.
I can send you a new link for testing.

I've just downloaded the new objects posted here, in order to add them to the object pack I'm working on - not to worry NimoStar, an update will be released soon...

However I would like to ask all of you to do me a favour, in case you want your new objects added to the package, please post a link in the object pack tread (either for direct downloading or to the tread where they're posted). I try to keep up, but it would be easier to have all objects gathered in once place. As of now it's getting hard to keep track of all new objects posted in various treads. Thanks in advance

A few effects and stuff...

Cool then I can strike 'rain' off the list. I don't think my attempt at making rain would turn out this nice. Will add them to next update.
Btw. Are you back in business with a new pc or...?
