Look brutal) What weapon he use? This hand easy can make choke.
And nose maybe make one color with body? add more accessory,wooden shield,armor all from wood,i think will be look interesting
what if add rope on hand and wind this.

I thought about a blowing dart, but with no ammo (0 shots). So you can shot only if have a ammo cart.

A rope like a 'punch glove' ? Like a Thai fighter. Seems interesting, but, just on one hand then

Yes. I thought was really a better sprite than Thrall from Wow. So, while im doin the another ones models, that helps

Fiorin, just a question out of curiosity: are you creating these models yourself? Because I am not sure at this point if you're using external sources or if you're a 3D modeller creating these units from scratch . In the latter case, I am impressed!

Hi Maurice. In real life, im a developer and code teacher. The town screen was made on Photoshop using web images and actual units on Ruins are taken from another games. I edited and created all the sprites, but are not mine.

The Pygmy is my first own 3d model from scratch. So... maybe now im a new 3d modeller. So, thanks

I spent 13 hours until now to create these 2 versions. Trying things, redoing and testing. Still need some texture, bones and animation.

the pygmies are cool, especially for a first-time self-made creature, man.

you make me wonder what creature i'm going to do first myself. guess i'll find out when i get to that point.

are you using blender for your pygmies?

Yeah, im using blender. But having a problem with UV mapping. I did the model with no focus on mapping, then theres a lot of stretch. Gonna discard the fine sculpt and just try handle some simple texture

I've been studying dozens of hours to achieve this moment... and Im really proud for showing to you guys the Pygmy!


For now, theres just the non-upgraded version and the idle animation, but its just matter of time to finish everything.

What you guys think ?

Ps: Theres polish to do on pallet (yellow dots on animation, but not a big thing)

he looks good. i'd lower the saturation and darken him a bit, though. not sure how one does that in a 3d program, so forgive me if this isn't an easy fix.

@fred79 I can fix that on Photoshop with the resize/makeDef action.. no problem. But first, im gonna finish the animations and the upgraded...

not sure if you're being sarcastic(?), but the kilt looks perfect. the orange hair and cyan skin need darkened, imo.

what i do when working with a creature, is use my test map and set a line-up of creatures with different colors and shades on both sides of a battle(your hero and a stand-still enemy hero), so that i can get a gist of what'll blend in, rather than stand out. then i take a screenshot during battle, and make adjustments accordingly.
