Lol, all the papers are filled with headlines such as:
- The world is on red alert since Trump's tweets.
- U.S. Russian relations at worst state ever.
- Heavy traffic in U.N. corridors
etc....

And you look at it, Trump's tweet is literally written with the language of an angsty teenager trying to burn someone on-line:

Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia,  because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!” You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!

Presidents used to give briefings after consulting a dozen of diplomats and they used to do it with some sort of class, no matter the message and now we have international crisis after crisis and this guy is "tweeting" like a douche.

He could just use the good ol' gorilla warfare copypasta, shame I can't paste it here as it would definitely warrant a penalty.

Yanko Tsvetkov (creator of the Atlas of Prejudice series) shared on facebook, his 2015 Russia according to the West map again today, with a note saying "just a reminder of every coin has two sides." The article below the map is not bad either. I thought it was relevant to the discussion here.

Is that the whole report? I've read in the local news that the OPCW pointed that the "chemical" originates from Russia but can't see such a text or implication in that document.

how would you know that anything written down or typed out was factual at all? who would you trust to do the right thing, and tell you the clearcut truth? what would they have to gain, or to lose, in your belief?

Precisely. This is very worrying. Below only in French (our local news) but I guess you can get what has been going on:

From what I understand, they confirm the identity (name of the toxin, not who used it) and from here there are probably other sources who assign that toxin as russian fabricated. It is impossible that the laboratory assigned to identify the toxin is also asked to find who used it.

It's not about who used it but who produced it, although I've no idea how the OPCW can point that out. Still, in the news "it's coming from Moscow".

Probably through some expert level chemical fingerprint stuff... It is an international organization with so many member states checking up on each other, a conspiracy about them "being in on it" would be extremely far fetched.

Nobody's talking about a conspiracy but about what's in the actual report and what's in the news. The "probably" here would be a clumsy way to say that the journalists don't know but still make a claim. Which is kind of in line with everything related to this issue so far.

Quote:
But of course, while the identification of the nerve agent used is an essential piece of technical evidence in our investigation, neither DSTL’s analysis, nor the OPCW’s report, identifies the country or laboratory of origin of the agent used in this attack.
That's the important part.
I actually happened to read the OPCW official statement on their web-site this morning, they make it quite clear that they won't comment any state allegations:
Quote:
I wish to take this opportunity to emphasise the policy followed by the Secretariat with regards to public statements made by officials of individual States Parties. The Secretariat will not respond publicly to such statements even if these are critical of the OPCW’s work. I do not think it is in the interest of the Organisation that the Secretariat gets involved in public discussions with States Parties.

Or, in short, the "it's coming from Moscow" "evidence" proved to be yet another piece of propaganda.
