Fortune, Misfortune, Mirth and Sorrow

Does anyone ever use these spells in Heroes 3?

I was thinking perhaps they would be more useful, if instead of giving +1 at basic and +2 at advanced and expert, they could give +2 at basic and +3 at advanced and expert.
Only problem with this is that it would make Melodia and Daremyths special useless. (Melodias is already useless, because she has Luck.) So perhaps these two heroes could get new specials, I was thinking Air Shield for Melodia (similar to Dargem in HotA) and Precision for Daremyth. Or else Fortune should remain at +2, it's also the cheapest and most easy to learn of the 4 spells so that could make sense.

What do you think?

Sorrow is a great spell, the other 3 I maybe cast once in 15 years just to see how useless they are (maybe special mention for mirth, if my main stack is shooters behind force field and battle is expected to last > 100 turns). But sorrow is great if you don't have the spirit of oppression, which means again custom maps.

I agree Sorrow is useful sometimes, but Earth Magic has so many other ways to stop the enemy, like Slow, Quicksand and Force Field. All are easier to learn and cheaper than Sorrow and Sorrow also does'nt affect quite a few units.

Misfortune became better in HotA, with the introduction of negative luck, still not a very good spell though.

There are also artifacts in HotA that decreases enemies morale or luck, so I don't really need Sorrow or Misfortune vs neutrals.

Sorrow is even better in HotA since you can actually hope for a -3 morale with all the negative morale artifacts. Which is a large freeze chance and a huge advantage in combat.

All spell is useful, but I don't use a mirth, because I wait for good morale as Minotaur, I never got a good morale in victory system. So I will continue to the mirth in HotA. H4 was the most sure get a good morale, because of 10+ morale. Remember that 1 morale is 12,5% chance/possibility. But two morale does 25%, and Minotaur has always good morale does 12,5% never happened to me Yes I got a morale, but 25% is too much. Fortune is better than mirth, and the same 12,5% chance/possibility. Maybe bug, but even if Satyr gets good morale.

Sorrow and misfortune is more skilled for the player. Old misfortune was been also 12,5% chance/possibility. HotA is much better as H4 was great spell. Those are great spell. And HotA got a good morale to neutral creatures, so sorrow artifact, or spell will help you against the good morale like as Knight.

Edit: over 100% effect stops. H4 one scenario map has 250+ morale, for disposable, but no effect has come.

Well that was much Improved in HotA. Negative Luck mechanic means less dmg. If you combine -Luck artifacts with Archdevils/Misfortune and Hourglass of Evil Hour oyoou can achive nice results.

For Sorrow i would add it as 5th spell for Armor of the Damned since it's curse spell

Sorrow can be useful as a replacement for the spirit of oppression. The other three, I consider them completely useless.

slow spell is banned in the map I play (not me , the map creator did it , map called battle on seven seas)

im not sure, sheild, airsheild, stone skin seem better to me TBH. but I still use these spells with hero specialty boost (i use them for free)

Edit: negative luck also exist in era II (1script required)
