Would Europe be better controlled by a foreign power?

I dont necessarily mean civilized places such as Norway.

But, among others: UK, France, Spain, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Baltic states, Yugoslavia (current Balkan nations would be dissolved and reintegrated into Yugoslavia by a single parliment, controlled by Croatia since theyre by far the most intelligent), maybe Poland although they seem pretty with it, Hungary, Austria,.etc.

You could also eliminate various countries whose existence is redundant and pointless. Portugal would become Spanish. Czechs and Austrians would be controlled by Berlin. Ireland would be controlled by the UK. Greece could be controlled by Turkey. Baltic states become Russia. This would cut down on a lot of red tape and make administration more efficient.

If the United States imposed military control over these different little tribal kingdoms and allowed puppet leaders/politicans to work, but then the US could intervene and shut them down by force if they started to behave insanely. Also, Europeans would have to pay taxes to the American government but only a small fraction since things such as healthcare and infrastructure would be covered by the puppet governments.

US could also unilaterally create a new EU across all these tribes and then after several generations of cross-breeding and traveling it would be like one big country.

It wouldnt (necessarily) be permanent but maybe an arrangement that lasted ~100 years until they can remove their training wheels.

I think it would be an excellent idea but I want to hear other people's opinions first.

Portugal and Spain are not similar. The mainstream knowledge that both are is what seems redundanct.

Good luck trying to implement that.

For a country like mine it probably wouldn't matter much since we're already in that state. Ha, ha.

Weak bait, disregard the yankee, he's jealous that we in Europe have unique homes and traditions and don't live in an homogenized melting pot of the worst elements of Europe.

How about we divide the US between us Europeans? That ought to be much better for the balance of power in the world.

How about we go the other way round: Form US of E and own US of A? fully united Europe would be bigger and richer than US.

Too bad nationalism rose its ugly head and we're actually moving into the other direction.

The Catholic Church is the only sect of Christianity that is logically consistent with itself (orthodoxy and protestant Christianity are historically so unsupportable that it is completely hilarious to me. A 10-year-old could figure it out.), so we could let Italy and Poland limited control of America to integrate our protestant churches under the Roman Pontiff. American Christians would then be more or less mentally stable.

But no government control. Italy and Poland cant govern themselves out of a paper bag.

It's a good idea generally but requires some field testing elsewhere first. First, the UK gets back that chunk of land between Canada (too cold and too French) and Mexico (too hot and too Spanish) so they can finally scratch their necrotic imperial itch and stop b****ing about every time when they crap in their own pants. Negotiations with France and Spain should take place if they want their respective states back of course - after all we are all civilized people on this side of the Atlantic.
Next, Iran gets to govern the territories matching the Achaemenid empire, because it looks awesome on the map (excluding Turkey, which will be split between Greece and Italy so Caesar can finally stop turning in his grave because of his worthless successors) and moves Israel to George V Land or slightly more to the east of it.
Japan gets Australia because it would have conquered it anyway if their bombers had enough fuel - but since they took off nearly empty due to unpaid bills to Putin Stalin, they had to **** the explosive cargo over Pearl Harbor instead of Melbourne. Besides, every self-respecting empire needs a desert so it can paint itself bigger and those pesky islands don't even have proper beaches for something more than tsunami fodder.
I'd suggest South Africa moves under either Zimbabwe or Botswana government because they at least have real names, not just a geographical location.
In Europe we'll only decommission Macedonia until the rest of the field test is completed with decent results, because it's stressing the southerners and sits illegally on Bulgarian territory.
Oh, and Texas will be moved to the moon so they can be closer to God and thus governed directly by Him, forgot that part.

Orthdoxy and Protestantism both involved some emotionally immature wealthy and influential people having a temper tantrum and ragequitting from the original institution that christianized the Roman world, and then forcing their subjects to follow suit or face severe penalties like an emo manchild. After 2 or 3 generations, everybody forgot what faith their ancestors belonged to and they are now culturally protestant/orthodox without having a clue why.

This all happened long before our modern age, so commoners generally were whichever faith/church their overlords belonged to.

Islam is, in some sense, a hybrid of ancient Christian Arianism, which was spread into the Middle East by the followers of Arius, and Arabian paganism. So properly speaking, its history is partially seperate. Some of its theology is still borrowed by the Catholics though, even though Muhammad didnt have direct contact with them.

Protestantism/Orthodoxy/Islam were all started by trolls with anger management issues.

Should be the other way round. US controlled by foreign forces. Say, Louisiana by France, Florida by Cuba and New York ny Israel. California joint venture of Mexico, Peru and Japan. Utah by the Iran. You get the drift.
Or something like that.

Good idea, actually. Sounds cool.

@blizz

The seperation of Orthodox and Catholic churches were political, once they did, theological distinctions developed afterwards, since they had different theologians facing different social and political problems, they were coming up with different solutions. Not much different than biological evolution on principle. That's what theologians do after all, they adjust the religion to socio-historical change. Protestantanism is still the same in a sense but it's less political and more social, rather than something as strictly political as Roman Church's authority decomposing, since the land got too big to feasibly govern by a single center of power due to the infrastructural limitations of the times, it was more about the institution itself becoming outdated.

During the 7th century, when Islam started, there was no Catholic/Orthodox distinction yet. There was a Romanized, militarized Christianity, this did influence Muhammed, the core is closer to the Jewish origins (eating pork is a sin, circumcision, strict regulation of daily life, women cant display hair, etc), yet, at the same time, it is expansionist and tries to convert by invading like Roman Christianity. The Church, Catholic or Orthodox, did not start and was not institutionalized by Jesus himself, after all. That was centuries later and if there is something such as "the original Christianity," it is that bulk of "underground" movements before the mentioned institutionalization.
