I am having a meta-conversation. I am talking about the thread within the thread. What exactly did you expect? A zombified thread where people just post links to news articles? It is a discussion. We are discussing.

Nobody forces anybody to get in the last word. You wanted the last word and it meant defending your pov for 40+ pages in the other thread. That was YOUR decision and your responsibility. NOT anybody else's.

Allow me to demonstrate: I am also making a decision. I will let you have the last word. You can post something if you want and I promise I wont post in this thread again unless it is directly related to the content in the original post.

no, you are simply derailing a thread because you feel personally attacked by it somehow, despite the fact it has nothing whatsoever to do with you. just like an sjw would.

and since you said you're not going to respond to that, NOW we can get back on-topic. finally.

49 dead in New Zealand mass shooting at a mosque, 20 wounded. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison described the man as an "extremist, right-wing" terrorist. Two other men and one woman were detained nearby and firearms and explosive devices recovered. Police Commissioner Bush confirmed that the man was not known in advance to either New Zealand or Australian security services.

This nutcase also live-streamed his attack on facebook. What a sick world. And what a sad day.

Not that I in any way want to push away the blame from white terrorists (and we have plenty of those), but just think about this: what if he was a mercenary paid by ISIS or some other terrorist organization who wanted to provoke the Islamic minority in NZ? I think the number of radicals will raise in NZ after this tragedy...

you don't really get sarcasm do you soyboy?

this strict gun control thing is absolute bullcrap because there is at least 1001 way to aquire a gun even in a country with strict gun control laws, either for criminal use or insurgencies. one of which is making them yourself.

Exhibit A, Philip Luty's SMGs , Britbongistan

Exhibit B, Northern Ireland home made guns Also Britbongistan

Exhibic C, the Mau Mau carbines, Kenya

Exhibit D, this redneck building a muzzleloader pistol out of hardware store junk, USA.

Aquiring ammo is the same way. 1001 illegal ways to get it.

"Britbongistan" … a country with 1/5th the killings of USA.

Acquiring firearms isn't worth it for the average criminal. It just means a far worse sentence, which is why any country with an established rule of law is better off without them.

Certain countries in S. America might have an extremely high homicide either way, but they don't have a well-established rule of law.

When even a right-leaning Prime Minister says someone is a right-wing terrorist, that must say a lot about the state of the world, or at least the nations separated by the Tasman Sea. The fact that this failure of a human being decided to live stream his brutal act of terror and show his own face in the process not only makes him a terrorist, but also a candidate for the world's dumbest criminals.

That would depend on how the weapons were obtained in the first place. If they were legally purchased, maybe laws would be tightened, but there's always going to be someone in a parliamentary position would leave it as is. After all, they're making the rules, not us.

And yet some folks down here want looser laws, even though some weapons weren't even banned or whatever. How else are we gonna deal with camels, pigs, cats, rabbits, or whatever feral animal 'Straya has in overabundance.

Surprisingly, even Trump was in a mournful mood when the news broke. No victim-blaming at all. The same cannot be said for one of our Senators.

That would be like Daesh or ISIL or whetever they decide to call themselves on that given day driving all the Shiites out of their so-called Caliphate. Muslims who loathe each other, who knew?

As for radicalization, in this day and age it's all just a mouse click away, no matter if the eventual end goal is a state of total religious fundamentalism, ethnonationalism, or any other sociopolitcal extreme.

2 days ago, there was a shooting in a school here in Brazil, in the city of SUZANO, São Paulo. They killed 8 before commiting suicide. It would be even worst, if not by a coincidence that the Police was prompted into action very fast and got there before the assassins could have killed more. One was 17 yo (in my country, underage persons cannot go to jail ... yet) and the other, 25. Investigations are issued and they are still collecting info as to elucidate the whole mess.

It also opened the discussions regarding the politics the new president is pretending to apply on the country for "firearm possession", the legal right for one to have firearm at home or company as to protect such places, which so many ignorants mistake by "weapon carrying", the right for one to carry firearms around, which is very strict legally for some professions.

This new firearm law is still not active, but people associate the illegality of all this mess and the daily firearm crimes with the politics. My country is one of the most violent with the most deaths by firearm on the globe. And it's not by legal firearms either. Bandits, assassins, the scum has no fear because population is unable to fight back, like a sheep. I am sure there will be a lot of casualties if this law is implemented, but a lot of cleaning as well. The right to acquire a weapon requires exams, tests to check whether one is really able to held it at their possession. You cannot just stroll in anywhere and buy them. Which is something most ignorants around here fail to notice.

Another thing is this underage tosh. Yesterday I heard a news that a 17 yo burglar had 70 occurrences, SEVENTY occurrences of theft and a lot other small crimes. But the current law don't have them arrested. And the boy had the nerve to threat the owner of the store he just tried to steal, saying that when he was free, he would return. The president wants to lower this underage limit to 16. They (Human Rights...) say that 16 is too young, they don't know what they are doing ... REALLY? If they can already vote at 16 (which is compulsory in my country), how come they don't know what they are doing?

That's not how it works. I'm not sure ISIS would go as far as NZ, probably the lest interesting country to recruit.

I'm not sure if he realizes how rude and insulting it is that he immediately goes to theorizing about false flags instead of recognizing that this was a terrorist attack against a vulnerable minority.

A sane human being takes things at face value and then considers other possibilities if interesting evidence turns up, but Eastern bloc loves to treat everything like a James Bond movie. Everything is either a false flag or a cover up or a fabrication.

This is how the world works, get out of your bubble. No wonder you Westerners are manipulated by your rulers if you discard everything as pointless evil. "They" want you to think it's a random psyhopath. But if you dig deeper new facts/angles come to light. The "precision" with how this attack went makes you think this guy was at least very-well trained (I've watched a fragment of this sickening attack, he literally looked like he was playing a game, his cold-bloodness and calculation were frightening), and everything around this terrorist attacks appears to be directed for maximum shock value (camera, manifesto, weapons covered with various historical figures names). In order to stir the Muslim populations around the world. Now they can say: "hey look, white psychopats also kill our peaceful brethren". It's targeted to create a ripple effect. Psyhopaths don't work like this, not alone, at least not in my book. I refuse to belive it. There are many cases where terrorists recruited "random" people to do dirty work on their behalf or seemingly neutral countries sponsor shady organizations.

And I'm not "immidiately" theorizing. I already had a conversation with my friends before I posted here, and one of them extrapolated this theory and made me think. My "immidiate" reaction was great sorrow that such a peaceful country like NZ was met with such a tragedy, especially that it seems the society there lives in harmony. Not only is this an act of terror, but incredibly pointless as it is not even directed against actual evil in the form of various radical muslim organizations, which I belive are the true enemy here? That's why it makes me ask questions in the first place. Same as Breivik, a f* coward who decided to kill children instead of terrorists.
