Choosing secondary skills+XXXL maps?
Hello, 2 things:
1. is there a hack (obviously single player) to edit out the secondary skills on a hero? Like unlearn them or learn specific ones instead of generating random stupid ones whenever you level up?
2. I google'd and can't manage to get a map editor working for 144x144+++ maps like 256 or whatever, can I get a link for a working one without dead links?
I even saw a map generator for 256x256 maps or whatever the size is but the link is dead. Any help?
I play heroes 3 complete, SOD... not a huge fan of WOG or weird strange imbalanced mods
Thanks

You may try "Hero advanced level up" MOD

it looks perfect but it doesn't seem to work... do I need WOG to use it or what's the problem?

As stated in my first post, I already googled it and only found unusable/broken links. And I am not looking to disable them, so there's no need for the condescending link.
And you shouldn't expect me to understand what the cryptic ''TID=38674'' would mean.

I don't get it... I use HD mod, add the plug in, keep trying over and over but it doesn't work.
I tried with a different plug in to test it and that one doesn't work
It's just that THIS plug in does not work. Shadow of death or wog, neither works no matter what I try

Dude, if you just come in and discover HC don't reply in the second, take a moment and check what is being said to you. RoseKavalier shows you how to disable skills, which means disable the ONES you never want, not all, right?
But if you feel is too hard as it requires hex editing, just install ERA2 (wog 2018) and the mod linked to you in first reply, and stop saying non sense that wog brings weird modifications. Wog/era is now delivered with mod manager, which means only the modification you want will be applied, everything else will be 100% sod. Install Safe Sod mod + the mod linked. Because if you skip both RoseKavalier and my proposal, there is no other way.

I took a few hours or two after looking around so I don't understand what you're saying, that I just came in and immediately replied. Check the times of my posts.
I wasn't talking about disabling skills, I was talking about how to use ''hero advanced level up''. I thought I said clearly that I'm having problems using it and there isn't some proper read-me or such so I had difficulty even understanding that it is actually a plug in and where to paste it, but I figured it out anyway.
I thought you said the mod works with wog and now you say I need era2? And I found out it's a plugin for heroes 3 HD so you're all making this even more confusing... wasn't it supposed to work with just wog?
hex editing... who said anything about that? Where? Even more confusing. I don't spend my time 24/7 on these forums so you can't expect me to be familiar with what you are... I didn't learn about heroes 3 fan made mods in school so why are you expecting me to know about these obscure things? The reason why I come here is because I *don't* know. Obviously.
Wog does bring weird modifications. SOD is one thing, WOG is another. Obviously. Wog brings tons of new features and even modifies old ones.
I need to download and try with this ''era2'' that you are talking about because the first link doesn't work with wog or sod. It just doesn't. And I downloaded that mod from some other site or two as well
edit: ok well for some reason it did not work in wog, on wog maps but the mod works with era2 mod manager, but ONLY with wog AND if the map is wogified. Seems like people here didn't knew this either so that's why nobody said it.
...which is pretty useless since I did say in the first post I play sod not wog yet I got the impression from the posts here that people think they know a lot but... they don't. At least I got to learn some new things. Shame the mod only works with the trashy wog, it seemed awesome. Oh well

let filter WoG features, just enable only those you like -> it's called WoG Options since they are optional. You may want "wogify" the map but disable option "replace objects during wogification" -> it would disable most of new things from WoG which are random and may (but don't have to) spoil your maps. thank you for your kindness .
PS: if you loved WoG more, you may check Knightmare Kingdoms mod for ERA, but rather wait for it to be more completed (until summer holidays I suppose)

Not to say much, but you sure are riding a high horse coming in here and talking down on the help being offered. Both RoseKavalier and Salamandre are members who have contributed truckloads to understanding and changing the deeper aspects of the game and especially RoseKavalier has been helpful above and beyond what anyone might expect from anyone in general.
Where I come from, we have a saying: "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar". Rather than talking down the replies given to your questions, I would recommend that you either try to formulate your questions sharper and more specific, or try to understand the answers being given. By your own admission, you don't know, so hence I'd expect your attitude to be either focussed on the specific issues you want to have clarified, or eager to learn whatever information is getting provided.
I'll finish my post with a general note to everyone posting here: aggravating anyone, be it a long-time poster or a newcomer, is against the rules. If you feel the need to post something that only works to provoke someone else, you might question whether you should post it at all.
