HD launcher with HotA scripts

Does anyone know a workaround for getting the HD launcher mod to allow scripts on HotA?

I don't know why they were disabled at all, since it is the exclusive responsiboility of the user to load compatible scripts...

I tried copying and renaming the HotA exe, but somehow it still magaes to recognize it.

Maybe by hex editing something it will allow to load the scripts, but I don't know what and I am not good enough in assembly to notice that by just looking at hexes.

So, anyone has the answer? Any quick fix?

i think you need older version of HD MOD. You should talk with RoseCavalier.

As it is oftenly written on the thread "How to edit HotA", plugins were disabled in recent version of HD mod (but for soooooome time now).
Two samples :

If you want to have them work, you can just install old version.

This choice come from HotA team because they won't their game altered by many "personnal fixes" who may make for example bugs "online" (or intentionnal cheating). If one player uses patches, the game is not the same so between two players it may cause some problems of compatibility.

You might read this thread, they are tons of informations on it.

Ironic because NWC could call HotA an "incompatible unofficial version which may cause bugs" :V

So, where do I get the old version?

I don't even play online.
There are many scripts in Russian forums specifically made for HotA...
nevermind seems i foun d it

no, not even the old version which supposedly supported plugins worked

I even suspect the feature was retroactively removed from the download changing even the old versions, which is very low...

can anyone upload a working one?

It's also ironic that people start to use old verions of Hota in order to mod their game, which was prohibited in the first place by Hota Team, now resulting in possible even more errors due to an old version

I think it should be acknowledged that the How to Edit Hota thread is longer than the Ideas and Suggestions thread, so there is clearly strong interest and there should be an easy or better way to mod the Hota game.

Best solution, in my opinion, would be a "Safe Hota Mod" for ERA which could serve as a base.

@NimoStar can you link the site with the scripts for us?

NimoStar's 'scripts' are really plugins for HD mod. Link to the forum with plugins was given many times in edit hota topics (it's hard to find them on the phone).

I am afraid those "1 minute with googling sites" are forbidden by my browser

Even when I ignore the warning, the download is flagged as having viruses, which doesn't happen with other download locations (as you can see in third file from elsewhere)

So, can anyone upload their working with scripts version?

And yes, plugins are scripts... that's what all .dll files are...

Anyways, here is the page I was talking about, most scripts are specifically for HOTA:
