There was also this one that gave you 3 random Mythic Rares (1 per each of the three last expansions). Unfortunately it was a really short lived promotion. It's the one I've got Rakdos from

Actually I was notified about the mythic rare one cus I subscribed to the newsletter. But they do a lousy job in promoting the codes. They probably use the same ol' tactic as it was always with MtG: spoken from mouth to mouth between players...
EDIT: It seems that by popular demand they brought back Weekly Wins in the latest patch. Players will now earn 250 XP per Win, up to 15 Wins. This amounts to 3750 exp per week. I think it should help in grinding for those Mastery levels Minion If I counted it right it's a similar XP amount, but the main incentive here is that you can complete it in one go, option which many people wanted as not everyone has time to play the game on day-to-day basis.
Also, another code: "BroughtBack" for another 2000 XP.

Throne of Eldraine Brawl came out from nowhere...
For now the deck that I enjoy the most is the Knights one. Rest have some quirky mechanics that aren't exactly to my taste (especially the new Food mechanic, pun intended).
I think I will buy the Master Pass afterall. If my math is right I should be able to reach level 100 before 26th of September.
EDIT: Well, that was generous: they gave a deck for each Guild from Ravnica for free after the Eldraine update. And those contain some solid Rare and Mythic Rare cards. I crafted some of them before, but it seems I didn't receive duplicates. But that's okay, I did get a lot of ones I was thinking of crafting and Uncommons/Commons.
Ultimately I bought the Mastery Pass. The new one is tempting but I'm a bit discouraged when I think about the XP grind: I literally needed to complete almost every daily + weekly to get to level 100, or at least until last week when they gave 5000 XP for free.
EDIT 2: Eldraine is more fun then I thought. A lot of interesting cards to build decks around (Torbran, Knights, Giants etc), few of them will probably rule the meta. I even started to enjoy the Food mechanic 
EDIT 3: I was wondering what to do with 4 Drakuseths that I found in packs... well, hello Reanimator, one of the most cancerous (and effective) decks in MtG
