New Expert map



Please use this topic to share your impressions and strategies for this new map!

We cannot say much for now, aside the great rewards that do have some bit of RNG, for instance you can get either 100 of the same totems, or 20 of each kind (for a total of 100 totems), at Knight difficulty. It will be a while before we are able to unlock all the difficulties due to the weekly cap, but I am very curious how hard Emperor will be for this one. I mean, Knight difficulty here is a bit stronger than the usual Knight difficulty we know, with the last boss one shotting my Kirin for example Talking about a FA unit with HP gold enchant here! Likely to beat the last difficulty we will need the maximum of buffs we can get.

The first time I play a map, I like to pay attention to the story - I wasn't impressed with this one, felt like it was an afterthought of an afterthought. I know I shouldn't play mobile games for their stories, but Creature Quest at least put a little more effort than the average mobile game into their stories.

I didn't have the same problem as you Galaad, I beat down the boss without losing a single creature. I'm a bit concerned with your assessment for later difficulties though as I've still to make the leap to Emperor on any quest so I'm not sure I'll be able to take this quest very high.

I'm a little disappointed that the rewards look to be just more of the same.  I think the fights on the highest difficulty will probably end up being tougher than anything we have seen yet which will be nice, but we will have a ways to go before we see that.  Once we have our teams set though for the map and can grind it out every week we are looking at greater essences each week from kingdom defense, expert map, tower, guild wars, and potentially dungeon for those who finish high enough.  We are going to run out of things to grind for very quickly unless they add something new that requires a lot more essences.

Finally got the time to try out Demigod... Holy ****, with full white team boosted I got destroyed in the last fight. So brute force doesn't work and it's not even the last difficulty yet. Will have to try different combinations. Anyone beat it yet?

Edit: Finally beat Demigod. With that timer cap I am one week behind for Deity but it doesn't matter. Congratz to those who beat Deity already *winks at Kastore*

I beat him, but it took a lot of tries.  The main problem is once you get him down to red he has a move combo where he buffs himself and one turn later uses a move that usually kills 4 of your team.  It's imperative that you have at least 2 creatures that can revive and hope one of them survives and make sure both have mana, but you also need whoever on your team can dispel buffs to have his turn available on the one turn to dispel those buffs before your team dies.  I did not have luck stunning/silencing him in that one turn while he is buffed.  Once you get your team back alive it's smooth sailing to finish him off.

When we start playing the game, it becomes Collecting Quest, but it soon turns into Grinding Quest, because there is not really a great range of quests of stuff to do. Then, after the grinding doldrum, which takes like forever but not really insteresting, there's nothing else to do. Game needs late-game features, and not any fruitless idea either.

Regarding Thanatos, I am not done with Demideity yet, but I see no point at trying right now. Getting 500 totems seem much less painful and it is useful to my current situation.
