Banneret is totally fine, yes. Fitting for if you wanted to heal tank instead of damage tanking like the Cavalier would do. And yeah, I can do that edit for your character. And theeeeere you go. Your journal is now your own to do with as you wish... whatever that means.

Edit: Also, I am your god now, Geny. You know this.

I am getting close to finishing up my character and I also think I got the hang of making custom characters in roll20.

So all those who need help in either character making or the creation of character sheets, feel free to contact me here or through HCMs.

The shield is still a bit stronger than a sword (I have DM’d with characters that have magic armor before, I know that power), so I’d say a +1 shield is 1,300. Something reserved for some of the more elite troops.
The Restorative Ointment is for out-of-combat healing, so it’s a bit more common for field medics. Fortunately for you, that’s exactly what you are, so for you I would say 200 gold each (everyone else it’s 250). Basically, it’s harder for non-healers and healers who have magical methods of healing to get their hands on something meant for mundane medics, so they have to pay a little bit extra to get it. Additionally, each ointment you purchase will have 3 charges at most (-50 gold for each charge lower than that).

@Joonas Well I was gonna be a Wizard but another idea popped into my head well I was getting ready for bed last night. But this idea is entirely dependent on the following;

Does the Greek Pantheon exist in this world? If so, could I be like Cleric/Paladin (still deciding which branch to take) that worships the whole Pantheon instead of a single god?

Obviously I know this is not the standard, and is more like a homebrew, and would be a lot of work to work out so just tell me what you think Gnomes and if it doesn't work out, a Wizard I shall be.

So I am planning on playing as a reborn warlock and according to the 5e rulebook (that conveniently appeared on my hard drive) I am supposed to choose a patron. Could our good GM list a few lore-friendly possibilities (preferably tricky Archfeys)?

Thank you,

So is the place were in still cold, mountains, snow and barren of proper woodlands and most large life as in the description from a few hundred years back?

Just a heads up you guys might want some fur/wool or otherwise heavy cloaks and proper boots for survival if that is still indeed the case.

I don't know about that, but for your previous question: it would be weird worshiping a whole Pantheon. There is no Pantheon I know where all the gods have the same goal/motivation/likes/dislikes etc. So if you would follow all of them, I don't see how you would know what is required of you.

Well, I’m the DM, so I’m effectively god but shush. And I’ma limit this game to 6 players for the sake of making combat/ roleplaying less of a grind and easier for me to manage. Which is something I was not expecting to do, since I thought HC’s RP crowd was like... dead or something. I’ll say that the ones who are reserved and in for sure right now are Geny, because he can help people when I’m not around, BETA because he has an idea of what he wants to play already and he’s finally back after YEAAAAARS, Galatea because she’s been waiting for so long so patiently, and DG because he also has a firm idea of what he wants to play. So I’ve currently got two open player slots.

That’s not to say that people should stop posting interest, far from it! It’s great that so many people are around... but unfortunately, this just isn’t the kind of RP where I can accept everyone immediately.

There is no greek pantheon, no. The closest thing is the human pantheon, but they function more like the Celtic deities/ great mortals and spirits in the Chinese and Hindu mythos than they do the all-powerful, semi-omnipotent, partially inhuman and generally uncaring gods of the greeks.

Basically, every single god or ascendant in the setting was once a mortal. The only exceptions to this are the Creator, the dragons, and Titania and Oberon. The gods are closer to powerful celestials, demon lords and arch fey than they are to Zeus or Poseidon.

... Well, except for the Lord of Tides, but that’s the setting’s Nyarlathotep/ C’thulu, so it kinda breaks the setting rules.

There are fey, yes! The Summer Court is the one that holds dominion in Rahvin, while the Winter (and Oberon) are over in Farim, waging an endless wild hunt upon the remaining Weavers. The majority of the Summer court is sealed away in Limbo with the creator, but certain arch-fey are still able to make pacts.

The only one that cares about non-sharen partners is Maeve (also spelled Maebh in old, old script), who is also known as the One-Eyed Crone. She isn’t allied to any beings in particular, not even her queen, Titania, so making a pact with her is, in its very nature, dangerous for the simple fact that you will not know what she expects of you or who you will be allied with in those important moments where you have to pick a side.

Otherwise, if you are playing a sharen warlock, you pretty much have the run of the entire Summer court, from the lowest of lords all the way up to Titania herself... but all of them are confirmed enemies of the dragons, so you would likely be watched closely if you made your pact with one of them. Or you could just be syphoning power from the fey in general without a specific contract in mind, which could be potentially catastrophic because you will be running up a tab that any fey, even one of the lowest ranks, could call you on. But what are the odds of that happening...?

The climate where you are is about the same as you would find at the southern border of Canada. The lowest altitudes warm up enough in the spring, summer and fall for farming, and winter is harsh, but not unlivable. Particularly hearty trees native to the area (mostly pine, but there are hardwood varieties as well) dot the mountain sides, and the mountains themselves are not tall enough to have snow caps beyond early spring.

This campaign does start in late winter, and while you will be 100 miles north of the islands on the mainland... well, I still suggest that you guys specify what kind of clothing you are bringing, because that effectively puts you smack-dab in the middle of Minnesota in the tail-end of winter. While the wasteland is too dry to really have much in the way of snowfall or ice slicks, it also has nothing in the way of cover from the bitter winter chill or winds.

Spring and fall are just seen as transitional seasons for the courts/ nomadic sharen. Where one court is entering dormancy, while the other awakens and begins to spread its influence. The sharen of Rahvin in particular believe that fall is when Titania goes to join Oberon in bed (the days in fall that are oddly warmer being days when their passion reaches a climax), and spring is when he returns to her side while she gives birth to the new life to come (and the oddly cold days are when she needs to rest and recover from the ordeal, and Oberon paces like a concerned husband). As such, these seasons are seen as pseudo-sacred to the nomadic sharen, as it is the only time the lovers are able to be together, since Summer and Winter is the time when their opposite is in deep, unending slumber.

... Of course, the truth is that Titania is sealed away in Limbo with the Creator, while Oberon is off waging an endless war and has not slept nor paused in that war for over a thousand years, but that brings up an important point. no one in the northern realms knows that. The civilizations there are rebuilt effectively from the ground up, and they had to rebuild far more than just buildings in that time. So many lives and so much history was lost in the war with the Creator that history and religions have been entirely rewritten based on the shakiest of evidence... most of which was provided by a disguised Mutal Ram.

Most of the northern peoples believe that a being known as Azreal (who is also called Blackfire) is the reason for the experiments that created the sharen, is the progenitor of the parasitic souls that are called Demonborn (aka, the Creator’s children), and that he murdered the Creator, usurped dominion of the fey from him, and waged war on all of creation. The only reason any of your characters know better is that Behris and Ramd worked together to establish a place where the truth was kept preserved, and this vault is on the capital island of this place you call home. And even then... most of you only know enough to ensure you are informed who the enemy is in truth, and many of you may have been raised with the false knowledge listed above (you were if you were born in the north and brought south by Ahmit).

There are two distinct human pantheons in Rahvin (one in Surimos and one in Loros), though they have a bit of overlap, one pantheon of Champions among the grey, and then the nomadic sharen (who treat the arch-fey as their pantheon) and the sul-sharen (who worship only Ramd and his brother, Fein). Only the sul-sharen pantheon is small enough for everyone to worship every god, and even there, Fein is a minor deity compared to Ramd, who lives among them from time to time.

Most religious people stick to one main god/ champion/ arch-fey, and base their core beliefs/ tenants on them, with some small influence from one or two other like-minded deities. The ONLY exceptions to this are grey shamans and bards, who treat their gods more like ancestors, and do not worship them as much as they simply commune with them for guidance and strength through their songs. Because the grey are special like that.

Well, checking the Roll20 thing, it seems like Joonas and Count have claimed those open slots. Though COUNT could still ROLL HIS STATS. Argh. And Galatea could stiiiiiill do the same thing and sign into it. Gosh. Still plenty of time for people to figure out what they want to play/ if they want to play at all, but right now it looks like we've got our full group of 6.
