No, you can't. That's exactly what I meant when I said you can't break up an action. That also goes for Extra Attacks. Once you start attacking, you need to use all your attacks at once or forfeit some of them. You can choose different targets, but you can't do anything else in-between.

Counterspell is a special case because it uses a reaction. You get one reaction per round (not turn) and you can use it when a certain criteria is met, regardless of what you or anyone else were doing at the time.

Page 190, player's handbook, title Moving Between Attacks. "If you take an action that includes one or more weapon attacks, (so my example of scorching ray wouldn't actually work, just because those are spell attacks) you can break up your movement even further between those attacks. For example, a fighter who can make two attacks with the Extra Attack feature and who has a movement speed of 25 feet could move 10 feet, make an attack, move 15 feet, and then attack again."

You also only get one Action and one Bonus Action per round, since you only get one turn per round. Fighters can cheat and get 2 actions with action surge, but that's an exception, not the rule. Reactions are special because you can use them outside of your own turn if certain criteria are met, but bonus actions are also special because they can also only be taken if certain criteria are met. So they are both effectively "triggered" effects that, unless they specify a timing (such as "when you COMPLETE/ IMMEDIATELY after you take X action," or "when you TAKE X action," which are two separate things) can be taken at any time that you qualify for them.

Effectively, there are no rules that specifically restrict you from taking bonus actions and reactions during your turn at any time, but there are rules that restrict if you qualify for a bonus action or reaction. Sometimes restrictions specify that you do have to complete the triggering action first (such as flurry of blows saying that you must choose to use it, "Immediately after you take the attack action), but there are plenty of cases when the timing is left unspecified enough to be much more flexible (such as Counterspell being used to counterspell a counterspell targeting your spell, or Shield Master's bonus action shove triggering "if you take the attack action," meaning that once you declare the attack action, you qualify for taking this bonus action, but you must complete an attack action on your turn if you use that bonus action shove.)

As for that wild magic surge! It has been postponed. For now. Because she did not roll a 1 when I tried to trigger it.

This is why Wild Magic makes me sad. It doesn't happen often enough.

... The triggering range might be increasing soon.

@Oddball: You started your turn 30 feet off the map, so using your movement you finally managed to get in and join the battle. Also, those were attack rolls, not damage rolls, because the three rays from Scorching Ray need to roll to hit before they deal damage, and they deal 2d6 damage for each one that hits, not 1d20.

So one of your beams hit Aife's saurian, and one of them hit the one next to grimlea... though roll two more d20s, because you have advantage on your attack rolls against that lizard, meaning you roll twice and take the best result!

Yeah, 3.5 really, really, REEEEEEALLLLLLY deeply ingrained the idea that you can only move or attack into D&D player consciousness, and 4e didn't do anything to change that. There's a theory that the section on page 190 was added specifically to let players know that this was different from the 10-ish year legacy that those two systems left behind, so that veteran players and new ones wouldn't read the action system and get into arguments/ have confusion over what people could do with their movement.

Hopefully this helps your group out! Mobility is a huge part of the game, and being able to move and attack is almost essential for making melee combat satisfying compared to spellcasing and ranged attacking.

Ffs so sorry. The spell description didn't have "make an attack roll" at the time and I did not notice it was a d20 that it rolled. I'll fix it, add in the description and roll damage.

Doesn't really matter in this case, I don't think. If you wish to hunt them you can just heal me on your next turn and I can bonus dash and shoot on my next.

Regardless I wouldn't go after them this turn, too dead. I could tiptoe at the edge of the shaman range but I'd just die the moment it decides running is a bad idea and takes a step towards to fry me.
