Poll Question:
The 4th best secondary skill?

A week has passed, and this is the week of Weasels. All creatures increase population I mean, we have decided what is the best technique our hero should have in the last thread, after those 2 OP Log & Earth - it's Air. What will we choose this time?

I'll bet my money that it's gonna be realllly interesting

Also, I'd like to pose a side question about continuity this time. If the 1st time leveling up we were presented 2 options & chose Log, the 2nd time chose Earth, then is it possible for the game to present Air right the next time? I know I should read @Maurice's post more thoroughly, but it's 1 hell of a monster post and I think I can learn more easily through "hands-on" experiments like this.

Responses:
Tactics
Intelligence
Wisdom
Armorer
Fire
Water
Archery
Offense
Pathfinding
Other (pls specify in a post)

Well you have to pick Wisdom sooner or later, so maybe now is a good time to pick Wisdom.
The whole Wisdom and magic schools at specific intervals complicates things a bit...

I voted Wisdom because picking this skill early on suits my style of play, but I think other people (usually the ones who regard themselves as pros) would go for tactics. Just a guess based on what I've seen in PvP games uploaded on youtube

Picking tactics depends strongly on situation. Necessary if there is no spirit of opression and blocks like wolf riders or thunderbirds. But not always useful. Army composition is also a concern here.

WoG is cool, though. The only H3 I play, actually

Sure it is, but you get all skills in WoG, imagine 26 successive threads about "what would you pick in n* position"

Kidding, peace.

to be honest I wouldn't mind taking 26 polls. I love taking them

Also, I think I've only had 19, or 20 skills at most. Is it possible to get more than 20?!? Not that I'd need to, but I'm curious

I only had brief experience with WoG and don't know about it, but based on @Salamandre's post above it's possible to get "all" 26 2ndaries. Well, I'd argue that for this exact reason, WoG is inferior to H3 or HotA regarding skill tree building. When it's possible to have everything in the world, you tend to be lazier about it and the choices there are more on a tactical level than a strategical one. It is when stuffs are limited and by choosing A you are actually sacrificing B, that the game is more rewarding. Not to mention that I guess WoG matches tend to be longer due to players wanting to max (or another more precise word, fill) their skills. IMO I don't want my hero to get past lvl23.

Spirit is just 1 artifact and I guess that situation rarely comes up, knowing the amount of artis there are on the map. Plus, in a battle a block just worths 2 fodders, and you'll still have to deal with the approaching enemies next door anyway. On the other hand, while Basic Tactics is not very good, Expert can be used to sacrifice fodders and keep those critters far away from your shooters quite effectively.
Disclaimer: I'm not pro-Tactics & didn't choose anything, just curious about your statement. BTW, can you be a bit more specific about army composition affects our choice of this 4th skill?

Basic Wisdom is for spells lvl3, and I can't remember too many useful spells at this stage. Maybe Forgetfulness or Teleport?

Are you going to repeat this for all the eight slots?
Asking for the third skill was something I already found meaningless but a fourth will most probably be completely situational and while I surely have an idea of what I want to end up with, I will basically pick the skills I want in the order they appear.

For the question, yes. IMO polls are designed to take into account people's opinions (they're used to choose presidents!) and since most of us surely have a firm idea of what they want to end up with, why not make it public about what you want?

Ok, this is my (quite arbitrary) order of preferences for main hero.

1. Logistics
2. Earth
3. Wisdom
4. specialty
5. Air
6. Other then specialty Offense/Archery/Tactics/Armorer
7. Same (if magic hero include Intelligence)
8. Same (include Water)*

*if no Fly and DD Water and Air trade place.

All other heroes have Logistics, Earth and Diplomacy as their top priorities.

Guess this answers the rest of the polls

Too many ifs. See, that's the beauty of the poll. You can't have everything and will have to choose some at the exact moment.

On another note, even now when I kind of know your preference, I can't vote for you. The only way is to take action. Like in the 1st poll, while there were tons of great arguments for Earth and few stood up to say something for Logistics, the result contradicts that sentiment. The community has chosen Log over Earth as no.1 skill for their dream hero.
I recall reading about some Democrats who are still bitter about their own fellows' "opposing votes" that went to Green or Libertarian or something instead of Dem, and they blame those for Hillary's loss.
