Play it like a campaign

I've been playing a map where one enemy is protected by several borders and you have to visit all those tents one by one. I already kicked his ass a couple of times (when he comes out) and I'm pretty sure I can go  straight to him and finish the map but I didn't visit half of the power ups cause I've used other two heroes to defeat my neighbours.
In SoD or WoG I would visit them and still get the AA, maybe with two or four less points but with this the new HotA system I will get a Behemoth instead of an Archdevil... I think this kills my fun.
Your opinions, please. Do you play the maps enjoying the view or do you go straight to the finish line? Why?

Usually I just go for the kill if I can defeat the AI without a doubt. No point prolonging the game if it's meaningless.

For campaigns it's a different thing, I try to get all possible buffs and spells for my guys so it can take quite a while. For campaigns I play impossible only though so I kinda need those to be able to catch up with overpowered AI rocking tons of freebies, especially in HOTA campaigns ugh.

Is like in real life, I know I can finish but if enjoying the view, I prolong it.

What's the point in dragging everything out?

Well, to tell you the truth the fights against neutrals to visit the key points are now more challenging then the guys he sends out, so that's it.

Well, there is some guilty satisfaction to visit every corner of a map, like a dog peeing on anything on his way, after some map asked you some challenging work to beat it. The 100% completion is addictive.
