Exactly.  That's why I'm thankful for the work you have all put in.  Some of the changes have been absolutely phenomenal.  In particular, I believe you are the designer of the Advanced Classes mod, which I found to be one of the best Heroes mods I've ever seen.

This is something I don't understand.  There are many sites out there that provide hosting for file downloads.  Clearly you and your colleagues have managed to make an all-in-one download for the updater so I fail to see why it can't be done with a stand-alone update.  Right now I'm having flashbacks to League of Legends where I would have to update the game every week.  In fact, as we speak, the AOPS updater is STILL running (and has been for about half an hour).

The worst part is that it doesn't even tell me how much it has to download.  There's no indicator letting me know how far along it is, how much more it has to download, the total amount to be downloaded, etc..

Every one of these problems could've been sidestepped with a single stand-alone all-in-one download.  For example, I would've known the size ahead of time (instead of this mysterious time I'm currently operating under).

Again, I don't mean to sound contradictory, but I had no need to join any discords before.  Everything simply worked.  That's kind of my point.

Look, I don't want to argue against what you're all doing.  If this works for the majority of the Heroes community, then so be it.  If I am an outlier than there is no reason to cater to me.  I simply am offering my critique and that based upon where this is headed, it is unlikely that I will be following this project anymore.  I am saddened by that, but I abandoned HotA in the past for similar reasons.

Good luck with everything going forward and thank you for the time you (and your colleagues) have put into this.

We appreciate your feedback, also you are not the only one having trouble with the connection. It happens from time to time. The reason is not always clear to me. Often it has to do with the AntiVirus software, the firewall, or the game is not recognized because it is not registered in the registry. Sometimes a VPN also helps, the server is located in Germany.
Anyway, I offer to come back from time to time and check again. Daemon and Elmore always work on it. Maybe the patching process will run for you in the future.

Edit: Changing system time to GMT+3 can also help

A thing that works for me every time is to change to Moscow time zone. Probably changing to Germany would probably work as well based on what you said. No idea why, but works 100% so far.

I got a problem
If I activate "New spell mod" my game crashes whenever any creature retaliates against my attack
But also if I disable a mod that makes use of Typhon (Like Tides of War for example) the game doesn't crash anymore

Generally good changes but

I don't like this, if it means beforer you had to wait for day change.

A known H4 exploit is to just have + vision artifacts in the backpack, equip them to look further and then unequip them

Meaning you actually don't have any "slot cost" to them.

By making it so that you need to end the day with the rtifacts equipped, it means at least there is a disadvantage if you are attacked.

Out of scope but I'm sure Scouting skill and artifacts work immediately in HotA, where the increase is quite noticeable.

Sorry but I don't know where to post

Since the last update I don'r arrive to lauch the game via the launcher
I've an error with VBS

I am on windows 10 and the antivirus is the one of windows
My session has administrator rights
If I press HD mod then play it is working, I just have this trouble with WOG.

Do you know what I must do to avoid this error?
I just want to press play

I just installed launcher and it asked me to update, but the update is no longer in progress.

It is repeated continuously at donwloading file(13%) progress.

How can I solve it?

v2.69 (09.08.2022)

Changelog:
[+] Updated ERA core to version 3.9.3 - thanks to Berserker:
   - Implemented easy-to-use tools for generating remote Era events with arbitrary data. The entire process of compressing/decompressing/splitting/combining data is hidden from clients. Implemented support for progress callbacks. The following exported function has been added to era.dll:
   - Added a new event: "OnBeforePlaceBattleObstacles", which occurs after the "OnBeforeBattlefieldVisible" event.
   - Added a new event "OnAfterPlaceBattleObstacles", which occurs after all obstacles are placed on the battlefield.
   - Completely rewritten command Erm "FU: D". Bug Fix: The HD mod was used to disable FU on the adventure map. FU now supports arbitrary string parameters and d-modifiers.
   - The map editor now uses "*.msk" files instead of "*.msg" files.
   - ERA will get the final addresses of monster structures, spells, artifacts and skills in the OnAfterStructRelocations event using native pointers to these structures. Thanks: Xeromant.

      Enlarges the creature tooltip screen in combat, adding information about:
   - the status of the stack - active, waiting, defending, done;
   - shots, counterattacks, troop spells;
   - 12 (twelve!) active effects on the troop;
   - Adds a dialog about all the effects applied to the unit when right-clicking on any active effect in the creature window;
   - corrects the description of the damage of the ballista;

[+] The option "Enhanced War Machines III" has been improved many times:
   - hiring combat vehicles is now performed in the heroic dialogue;
   - the exchange of combat vehicles is now performed in the heroic dialogue;
   - full health is written to the battle log, which was restored;
   - when hovering over a unit, the number of the proposed treatment and resurrection is now written;
   - The priority of healing units for AI now takes into account the possibility of resurrection, and not the health of a single creature;
   - removed War Machines from creature banks (as I said);
