Sounds like you have dipsomaniac tendencies, you cant stop once you are on full throttle drinking mood. Been there, done that, gets boring after a while and it can result in wasting so much time. There is a period in my life, between 25ish to 30ish, that when I look back, feels like a month or so. Because it was always the same hard drinking experience. It’s okay and fun to do this every once in a while but watch out for it to not repeat so often.

Been there and done that too, something around 20 to 25. I slowed down naturally as the hangovers kept getting worse and worse as I grew older. Now is very occasional, I would never go back to drinking as much as back then. I guess it's fine if you do it for a period in life, especially in your twenties when you are still strong. But you need to stop that trainwreck of a lifestyle before it kills you.

My friend passed two exams in one day and decided to celebrate. I just went along for the ride. But, yes, drinking at home is way more convenient and cheap.
@Galaad, the hangovers aren't that bad right now, but I can definitely tell they're getting worse. Back when I was in high school, I used to be able to down a full bottle of vodka with a few 2-3 times a week and still be able to go to school the next day without a hitch. Now I usually plan ahead and have my "hangover days" for when I know there's gonna be a lot of drinking.
