Cheaper Tower Mod
This mod basically makes (late) Tower somewhat playable by reducing the way too high cost of certain troops and dwellings to a reasonable one.
Changes:
Titan: 5000G 2g -> 4000G 2g
Naga Queen: 1600G -> 1500G
Upg. Cloud Temple: 5 ore 5 wood 30g 25000G -> 5 ore 5 wood 25g 20000G
How to install:
If you're using original HoMM3 with Shadow of Death and HD mod, you have to extract the folder from the zip into _HD3_Data/Packs directory, found in your HoMM3 folder. Then you have to start HD_Launcher.exe and use the "Add" option to add the plugin (it's called "CheaperTower"). If you want it removed, you can use the "Remove" option.
If you're using HotA, you need to install MMArchive first (or ResEdit, which can be downloaded here), open HotA.lod from Data folder with it, and replace Building.txt with the one found in the zip. Same with CRTRAITS.TXT, but it needs to be copied into HotA_lng.lod.
Don't forget to backup the original Building.txt and CRTRAITS.TXT!

Tip: You should NEVER use this mod while playing online multiplayer. It is considered cheating. If you want to play online multiplayer after installing the mod for HotA, you just have to replace the new CRTRAITS.TXT and Building.txt with the old ones. In SoD you can just remove the plugin.
Edit: You can also suggest other changes if they are needed.

It's more comfortable to make plugin for HD Mod with your changes. Such plugin can be enabled/disabled easily without remebering to delete txt files from Data folder. And in 2020 nobody plays SoD without hd mod

Thanks for the idea, but first, how to make a plugin? I mean, I know how to enable them and what they are, but I still didn't find a tutorial or guide on making plugins for HoMM3 HD, and that's why I didn't make it a plugin (yet).

It's quite easy. Here's example of my plugin.
It's just zip file with all changed files inside. Zip must be put in _HD3_Data/Packs folder.
Of course, plugins work only for SoD. For HotA still we have to replace files in hota.lod but it's dangerous for online lobby - it's cheating after all.

Yes, I know about that. I don't play online anyway (since I don't have with whom to play). I mostly play allied hotseat or solo. And sometimes it's pretty cool when you can replace unimportant units like the boar with something else. Anyway, thanks for telling me. I'll update the one for SoD soon.
