I actually do have Cheat Engine on my desktop, but I believe you or someone else on this site once said that there is a really steep learning curve in knowing how to use it. I dabbled with it when I first downloaded it a while back, but it seemed way above my pay grade. While it would be nice to have bonus damage on retaliation, I don't want it that bad.
There are also other tweaks I made to the code using your guide. All of the other codes I tried worked, such as rewriting disease to actually be useful or gaining a double defense bonus when defending. Even First-strike retaliation, despite the problems I encountered with it, did function, but, for whatever reason, this one code causes the game to crash for me.
Anyway, I uploaded the exe file here in case you wanted to take a look at and see what the problem is. I used a trial account on MediaFire, so you'll have to click the first? result that pops up.
