I'm afraid the outcome of the virus is that people are stupider and governments have yet more reasons to cut pays and impose heavier taxes...

I generally consider that this virus is a political strategy and all governments have an agreement between them. And I'm sure that after many years we'll find out that this situation was staged. But now, we don't have any choice. I've bought some sanitizers from https://arcreef.com/product/hand-sanitizer/ and of course some masks. I hope that soon they will end this theater and the world will return to normal life.

I agree, with the mention that people were stupid before too. The virus situation just proved how much.  At least in my country.

In Europe things are handled different than elsewhere.

I'm happy that our government looks out for us.
17 cases in Sicily after weeks of 0 cases... Of which 14 were Pakistanis coming on a dinghy.
Oh wait, I was wrong, there was a day with such numbers... It was Africans.
It's funny. We avoided the collapse of hospitals here, and now we'll have the collapse of migrant centers. But the priority is dismantling Salvini's decrees that at least did manage to reduce unregulated migration.

This thread is getting cold. It seems people are not focusing on the epidemic any more.
UBI (USA, BRAZIL, INDIA) are still in deep trouble with fighting agaist COV-19. Whole world's daily new cases is keeping increase, we can not even speculate when the curve will be flatten.
For USA, I think the President don't dare to use tougher policy to control the epidemic, because more quarantine means more protest, and will result in his failure in election. Also the pressure of the economic downturn push every country to restart its economy asap. People want both freedom and health, but virus need us make a choice between them. It is sad that we will have to wait for the vaccine to end this disaster.
Keep wearing mask, keep social distancing, till the epidemic is end, even if you think you are healthy enough. Protecing ourselevs, is also protecting others. It can not make sure 100% virus be stopped, but it indeed reduces the chance of being infected.

Conspiracy theorists are a means to distance people from real questioning. I'm serious when I say it, like there are serious and founded suspects on the integrity of certain politicians (see Clinton, Biden or most of the PD politicians here), serious conflicts of interest in doctors, or in mass media.
Then someone comes up with this idea of quantic tattoos, mystical microchips and 5G.
Actually the whole 5G affair is the messiest, there are serious reasons to be opposed to Chinese 5G networks in the world, each country should develop critical strategic infrastructure by themselves, or at the very least, obtain the rights to technology and build them themselves, not become dependent on a third party, ally or enemy it doesn't matter, it's a stupid and dangerous way of thinking.
But no, 5G gives cancer, it hardens your blood to the point of blocking your circulation and killing you or directs its waves to you to induce temperatures higher than 45°.
Same here, there is a dangerous and worrying trend of censorship and hiding of breakthroughs in therapies, there has been a purposefully placed block on research, and there is a web of common interests to just sell that damn vaccine.
What's the real and plausible danger? Simply corrupt cronies that want to use a virus to profit off the healthcare systems, vaccines cost, and healthcare systems need to purchase them to use them, it's straightforward and obvious that if there is a conspiracy then it's simply some big corporations that want to get more money.
But no, microchips, quantic tattoos, NWO, reptilians, Bill Gates is actually the antichrist and Soros' long lost brother and all that same drivel.
This is the trick to hide wrongdoing, make those who question appear as totally unhinged and inclined to believe fantasies.
By the way, second wave has come here in Sicily, too bad two thirds if not more of daily cases are migrants, the rest got in contact with untested travelers.
And we managed to bring the number of daily cases to 0 for weeks at the beginning of the month, see how easy it is to prop the emergency back up again?
Evil minds would say this is a plan to make us look bad, but the truth is that the current government abhors any actions that would imply even a slight inconvenience to foreigners, the virus is just added fluff.

Ah yes, we have a huge affair in our country also. Supposedly the government bought masks from an associate of the Healthcare minister while the guy himself made some shady dealings to multiply his wealth (he and his wife are filthy rich now). I don't know every detail because I don't track this that much plus the government covers some facts. There is also the case of respirators they bought from China which don't have the appropriate specifications. But because our current government is rotten to the core (seriously it's one of the most pathological governments I've seen in this country in my life to this date), no people were accounted to take responsibility.
