Despite me being a total butthead when our government says we're the first in the world, we are indeed faring better than expected, because unlike our politicians and scientists, our doctors have actually done the best job possible with the scarce resources available.
As a result, mortality in intensive care units has dropped significantly, and our doctors have discovered a number of treatments that can reduce that burden that was initially predicted, not only that, they are getting closer to the actual cause of death, which may have not been the pneumonia, but rather pulmonary thromboembolism, scarier, but treatable.
And then results from experimenting with hyperimmune plasma are getting more promising by the day, with donations from recovered patients increasing by the day as well.
Considering also a number of other factors, we may be closer to solving the emergency.
Now our only problem left is getting rid of these incompetent failures in our government, we jumped from an health crisis to the most devastating economical crisis and they have been doing nothing for the past two months and only now are dispensing some spare change.

In my country: Last days, when there were more people on the streets, the infection rate drastically lowered. I totally wonder why?
This is what a gov dude said yesterday. He probly is the same dude who wanted to close all elders in hotels. Also, last days the restrictions were lifted entirely.
Also, many of these dudes have hilarious names in my language.

There are/were protests against the covid 19 lockdown in several countries, including US, Mexico and Germany. Those in Germany are/were pretty violent from what I've seen.

Accepting the lockdown is insanity. Test everybody, give masks to everybody then put in quarantine the 0,5% which are contaminated, instead of locking down the 99,5% which are sane. This is definition of insanity.

That either. The tests in my country were contaminated. Geez no. The dudes who rule my country are also some of the crappiest scums. Now they're prolonging the lockdown (when other countries are lifting it) just because they liked it when it was all lockdowns (you know, it's easier to export all wood and such). And infection cases are significantly less since the 3 days of no-restrictions, and one of the guys from our health organization also said that only 20% deaths were possibly because of coronavirus, the other 80% having other serious affections, like cancer, etc.
Also, why is it called corona, when it has nothing to do with the Corona?

This is utter nonsense that speaks of a severe lack of information:
1) Testing everyone needs time;
2) Analysing the tests takes even more time. For example, in Germany, the daily capacity NOW (it was lower at start) is at some 150.000 per day. So testing and analyzing all 84.000.000 Germans will take around 1.5 years (you also need capacity for other tests, obviously, as well).
However, there is more: As soon as someone is tested, that someone has to go into quarantine until their test result is there (otherwise, a tested person may be infected while waiting for the result).
Also: Tests are not reliable; if someone is tested who has JUST been infected (a day or two ago), tests will be negative, although they are positive.
3) The only really safe masks are FFP3 which are not nearly available in the quantities needed. Production would have had to be shifted to insane levels, since the quality standard has to be guaranteed.
4) Lower-grade masks are of use in the current situation without mass events and distancing, but would be more or less useless in a normal situation mass event.
5) If someone is tested positive, that someone has been around a couple days infecting people. So there could have been contact with people who have been tested negative - who would now be infected.
So this actually doesn't work. The mere suggestion it could work is plain ridiculous.

So what is your solution, Captain Obvious, lock people until they die from natural causes?
France tested 1 million people, since the start of the pandemic. Whatever perspective you take, this is just a pathetic result (for instance Germany tested 3 millions, USA 12 millions and Russia 8 millions). They choose to infringe and stomp individual liberties rather than admit they have neither the funds or the knowledge on how to accelerate the testing process or mask production.
The lockdown is unconstitutional. If people want to lockdown themselves because they play prudent, that's fine by me. But the state fining me 150 euros if I put feet outside home is insanity and totalitarianism, while on the other side being unable to provide tests and masks. Its been months I can't find one.
Also, not everybody needs testing but priority in high density areas, in high risks jobs and in education structures first. Common sense. Right now is "stay home duck-like" while government is twiddling its thumbs and waiting for a miracle. There is no plan.
