Diplomacy changed?
Hi, been away from the game for a long time and started yesterday and noticed that the diplomacy skill has been changed and nerfed, is it true? If so is there a way to change it back to how it was before? I am playing the HotA through HD mod.

Yes, it's been nerfed by half.

Yes, it's been nerfed by half.
Yes, only 50% of the stack will join you, and there are no free joiners anymore - you will always need to pay.
I've not trying to change it, but I think it's possible in the settings in the Template editor. Also, I think in Anarchy template the "classic" Diplomacy is on by default.

I've not trying to change it, but I think it's possible in the settings in the Template editor. Also, I think in Anarchy template the "classic" Diplomacy is on by default.
You can still use the classic, old diplomacy. On maps, it's not gonna be nerfed, unless you nerf it yourself. From what I've understood, only several templates basically got the diplomacy nerfed, right? Or was it all templates, including new ones?

Exactly. They are templates, not standalone maps, so Diplomacy is surely nerfed there. You can't nerf Diplomacy on thousands of user made and original H3 maps, without the agreement of the authors and thousands of hours of work.

Sigh... As a pure random lover, thought I could change it on default templates. So the classic diplomacy works on only some maps that I can only know by trying those.

I asked the same thing few weeks ago.
As everybody said, creatures now will never join for free, only half of the stack joins but the price you have to pay is for the full stack. So basically, you also pay two times more.
All random maps that are created will have these settings on. If you open the editor you have to manually change it on each monster.
However, there are a few templates that still retain the old diplomacy. You can create a random map with the template "Clash of the Dragons" for example and old settings will be applied to each monster.

Well, that's still a Diplomacy nerf (also only half join now), but that's just for the default random templates.

Found the answer in the HotA update changelog :
[+] On all standard random map templates, monsters now only join for money, and only half the group for the price of the entire group; these settings can be altered in the map and template editors.
How can we alter the settings in map and template editors?

How can we alter the settings in map and template editors?
Use the RMG editor or the map editor in the game folder. The thing is, these changes apply only to templates, so you don't have to edit hundreds of creature stacks to revert the changes on a map. Basically, open RMG editor, open the template, and in every one of those colored squares, change in monster section Joining Percent from 50% to 100% and untick join only for money. Do this for every square.
