Steam Homm3 HD multiplayer issues!
Hi, if anyone could help, it would be great!
We have played couple of multiplayer matches with my friend, but suddenly one day his network started to have issues with connecting or hosting lobby. If i join his lobby its just waiting map headers from him, and if he joins my lobby, its same thing and if i try to begin game, it says ''a player didnt finish to retrieve the game information, please try again later''. Dont really know what to do anymore. Ports are forwarded, firewalls and antiviruses are off, he has reinstalled HoMM, but still it doesnt work. PLEASE SEND HELP!
Edit1: Windows share settings are all allowed too.

Since you say HoMM3 HD, that means it's the one from Ubisoft, right? Sorry, but the best we can recommend is to buy HoMM3 Complete from GOG and install HD+ mod. One thing we know, though: HoMM3 HD from Ubi has a lot of bugs (and it's also considered an heresy among the fans. Even I couldn't find anything to praise that game for, and I'm a nice guy).
And if it's actually HoMM3 Complete with HD+ mod you use, then it's probably the current DDoS attack that's the fault.
Edit: You're in luck, you said it's Steam HoMM3 HD which means it's the one from Ubisoft. For 100%+ experience (and not 50%-), you can uninstall the game and follow the instructions above. You could also install a mod like Horn of the Abyss after that, which is meant for multiplayer, fixing the game and adding more stuff in the same style as original HoMM3.
Edit 2: Don't feel offended, btw, but the one from Ubi is totally not worth it compared to the original. I just can't express through words the gap between those two. The disappointment I had when tried HoMM3 HD from Ubi was just... Huge.
Edit 3: I suggest your friend should do the same, otherwise he/she won't be able to play with you.
HoMM3 Complete also contains a new faction, combination artifacts, ultr-powerful dragons (Azure, Crystal, Rust, Faerie Dragons) and much more stuff.
HotA mod also contains a new faction and many fixes and new things.
