My bet is that the author is setting up a 'all your bullcrap comes and bites you in the ass' type of scenario.

we'll just have to wait for the rest of the manga or season 2.

Also watched that gym anime, the dumbbell one.

Quite hilarious, the tips on working out and the fanservice is nice too.

Also the intro song is entertaining me far more than it should.

Haikyuu!! Second Season completed, 10/10. That's it. Any further praise is redundant. I'm glad I picked this series up.

Haha, you still didn't get to season 3 with the BEST OP in the series EVER (and ofc the season itself is pretty damn good, the OP catches it perfectly).

EDIT: Danmachi Movie - Arrow of the Orion
A fine and satysfying movie as far as these series goes. I feel it should've been an actual TV series arc instead of that brothel garbage. While the latter felt like being made for cheap pathos and fanservice, the movie feels like S1: honest and adventurous. Not to mention it keeps the highest standard of S1 in terms of animation & graphics (something the series seems to be downgrading the futher it goes unfortunately). Plotwise I think it is taking place right after events of S1, and does feel like being an integral part of the story. Recomended for anyone who's interested in the series.

Haikyuu!!: Karasuno Koukou vs. Shiratorizawa Gakuen Koukou, 10/10. Loved it. Amazing series. Tsukishima insane character development. Hinata got brutalized hard lol. I liked the OP from season 1 more though.

I also watched that movie back in the day when I was really hyped about Danmachi, but I specifically remember not liking it too much. Tricky thing about movies is to gather success comparable to that of a consolidated tv season in about 2 hours which in my case it's never worked that well historically. Specifically here, sure, you can place it after season 1, but it has nothing to do with the action in either season 1 or 2, so it's basically a disconnected side story with nothing to be missed. I also didn't like the story itself, the villain more than anything and the fight at the end. Couldn't tell much more, but that's about how I remember it.

Yeah I know what you mean, I also dislike movies that have nothing to add to the main story, and creators trying some strange plot devices to keep it seemingly connected to said story, while it still feels disconnected at the end (a popular thing is usually a "mindwipe" of characters, or treating some events like they didn't happen at all, for example like the second My Hero Academia movie). But imo there is a "slight" difference between a movie story being pointless and bad or pointless but enjoyable And the movie was just that: enjoyable as a one off story

EDIT: Ok, so not only Koreans but also Chinese are clearly treading on the heels of the Japanese. Just take a look at this: Fog Hill of Five Element (this is so right up my alley, I dig Chinese myths).

There are 3 episodes subbed by some group, I'll let you know when I've watched it.

Burn the Witch

I can now openly say it is great and I want more. The characters are sharp and smart (well there's this one irritating and goofy character, but he will probably get around), aesthetics are cool as f* and the animation soars (literally). The series also has the right amount of seriousness and mystery/wordlbuidling. Oh and music is also on par. The final of those three episodes convinced me that this can aspire to be something really great.

How can a duty be of absolute secrecy when it's followed by the word "official" in the next phrase? I really can't wrap my head around it.

Well, "officially" as in: an official request from a party, but "secretly": as in "don't tell nobody else". You know, cus cute loli monsters are evil and people get rabbies when they see them...

Well, there are friggin 5 story arcs, each with 3-4 subchapters + a few unique manga chapters + anime specific chapter to choose from. So yeah, they have like, options...

If they manage to keep the story as good as the original, it's going to be outstanding. The first half that is, as the conclusion of the original was trash. One of the reasons I've been looking forward to this, is to see a proper ending to the series.

Ok, I know this is a cartoon and all, but how did the guy survive being stabbed multiple times and bleeding out? Is this some kind of joke, or is this explained somehow?

I remember reading about a prison incident where a guy was stabbed a ridiculous amount of times and yet survived. But that aside.. my money is on hallucinations. Future episodes should mention a few things about that.

Yeah, but the way they stab people in prisions is by means of small arms they are able to smuggle under the guards eye like a screwdriver, pieces of glass, bodkin or a piece of wire. This here was a kitchen knife that was long enough to puncture right through him

EDIT: Jujutsu Kaisen getting better with each new episode. Is this still shounen btw? I must say though: this "powercreep" moments, although satysfying, tend to relieve the tension a bit too quickly. I liked the moments of dread our characters faced, but suddenly it got all One-Punch Man

Danmachi S3 I don't quite like how quick they got all chummy, but still the premise should be entertaining enough.

I stopped caring for Dragonball when I saw the first episode of the relaunch. This series has some great contributions to my M&A love, but the formula itself is not digestible for me anymore. And becasue I was raised on a french version with polish lector I wasn't aware for the longest of times that Goku has such an irritating voice-over in Japanesse...

We had the Japanese version dubbed over in Lithuanian. Of all three series at the point.

Right now the manga, or should I say the latest arc is a rehash of the Cell saga in some way shape or form.

Never considered reading the manga. DB has that cultural aura around it, but it's not actually that good. I wasted more time with it than I probably should have. It's not worth following.

Watched the Haikyuu!!: Riku vs. Kuu episodes. It wasn't bad, but  not the Haikyuu quality of the prequels by a long shot. More like an addendum to what happened in season 3.

It's worth it, like fairy tail, just to see whatever stupid asspull comes next.

Both Toriyama and Mashima are masters of it.
