Most certainly. They could've just let it end with season 1 and it would've been an overall improvement for the series. Either call it a wrap or have an open ending, way better than what's currently airing. Sure, there's fans out there who'd take another season even if it would only be worse. Admittedly, I've done the same for a handful of series (Berserk quickly comes to mind), but lately I've grown out of it. I'm willing to see it through for now only on account of being a completionist that way. Not going to follow anymore afterwards.

The China server part of Log Horizon was cut again. What a shame. The third season hasn't been the best. At least Shiroe made a bunch of his iconic faces.

They definitely talk too much in this anime, but in this "snoozefest" kind of way. Reminded me why it was never high on my wishlist. I think you really need to be into it to enjoy some nuances (probably read the novels also?), but for someone like me who scarcely remembers what it's about it's simply not that attractive. And somehow I can't feel much emotion for the characters, most are bland and this whole rivalry for Shiro's heart lacks charm. Ofc I watch it for the occasional colorful characters but imo Log Horizon feels like an anime for a specific group of people who look for sth a bit different in an isekai (but this kind of novelty is not my cup of cake).
Mushoku Tensei
The change of pace looks attractive and I'm interested in seeing how the story goes from here. Imo the series lacks a bit of drama, I'm hoping sth is going to happen. Don't want any spoilers though I like how "uninformed" about the plot I am

Log horizon s1 was fantastic but s2 started going downhill. Not because it was bad, just many sidestories I don't really care about.

I think the series peaked with the Abyssal Schaft raid in season 2 and William's epic gamer speech. Otherwise I agree, there are really too many side stories and characters. The 'children' being the main offenders and a rather annoying part of the cast. Ffs, they are in their late teens, but still act and are treated like 8 year olds?

Spot on. On one hand the series tackles some interesting issues like the mental state of people trapped in the game and their lack of purpose etc. On the other we have the annoying kindegarten part with "kids" asking Shiro if they can have a pet etc. The romance part is also pretty underwhelming with really generic tropes like girls wanting to impress the male half of the characters and traditional "gambare!" cheers and support lines. Plus they are totally bland with the freckled chick and Minori being the epitome of it. I think if they removed the kindergarten part the series would only profit from it.

True! Man, that speech was the perfect mix of epic and hilarious. I'll forever remember Log Horizon for it. Might want to try the new season at some point, possibly after it airs.

Did Mushoku Tensei just get amazing or what? That twist last episode was superb. I am very much excited for what's to come. Feeling things can only get interesting with this trio party. The tutoring gig was good for a few episodes, but yea, it was high time to move on.

What a way to end an episode eh? Next week it's gonna be a massacre.
Also while previous episodes were good but not that super immersive, this weeks episode made me remember while I like the series so much in the first place: it's this sense of camaraderie/chemistry between the characters. Also I think how they want to handle things from here seems rational (as far as fantasy anime with OP characters goes ofc).

Ugh, this arc was bit overburdened with plotlines. A few less next time would be nice?
