A few years more and we will need a new study in school called "Sensitivities" to teach people what should they say in order not to insult anyone just by talking...

Ok, you are welcome to share your views on how the article I posted is "anti-male". Would you mind picking out a particular quote or paragraph and saying why you think it is anti-male?

Well, fred, if things are like you say, and you are this “good guy” (dont get me wrong, I dont think you are an evil person) who constantly becomes the target just for being a straight white male, how come you need to emphasize the article is written by a woman. When you link an article supporting your own view, do you link it by saying “here’s an article written by a man.” You see, things like sexism arent black and white, they are sometimes tendencies as simple as this. So, let me ask you, if we had an active female member in this thread and she said something like “hey fred, why does it matter who wrote the article, a man or a woman, there are males in the article who also support the same view. That’s sexist.” Would you think, “well, she has a point” or would you rather interpret her behavior as hostility because you are a white male?

First, this hasn't happened to me in the workplace(on the cororate side of things, anyway); i've seen it happen to others. I steer clear of the troublemakers, so it hasn't happened to me anywhere i work(again, on the corporate side of things. Personally, at work, is another issue). I'm easy to work with, so that helps. The only issues i've seen from people at the job i have now, stem from females who are next to useless and start snow that cause trouble for males just trying to do their damn jobs.

Second, i make the point of calling out the articles being written by females, because they ARE. If you skip over that important fact when referring to the subject matter they are writing, then you are assimilating wrong. You aren't understanding their motivations based on the power of their positions. If an article about the benefits of white supremacy was found to be written by Hitler, for example, you would just say, "Oh. That explains it". This isn't rocket science; that i have to break this simple snow down for you makes me think you guys should never participate in adult conversations at all.

While it is possible for a man to speak about prejudice towards women, doesn't it stand to reason that somebody who experienced it personally or who counseled people who personally experienced it are the most likely candidates to write about it?

What does the author say that attacks or degrades men? Is she not supposed to write on the subject merely because she is female?

Something being a fact does not make it a point though, the article could have been written by a blonde, you wouldnt feel the need to point that out and link it by saying “here’s an article by a blonde.”

Now, what you say would make sense if the article is written by someone that you would expect to support the opposite view, for instance, it would make sense to emphasize the writers identity, if the article claims women are better leaders and is written by a man, because in that case, your point would be “see, even men admit to this.” However, when a woman writes an article about how women are good leaders, pointing out her gender would only indicate you meaning  “of course, a woman will be thinking like this.” If we continue your analogy, it would be interesting if a black person writes an article supporting white supremacy, that would be something to emphasize, “see, EVEN he writes that.” Hitler writing about white supremacy on the other hand, is what you expect anyway. So basically, your point comes down to, “of course, women will write about how good leaders they are, what else do you expect, the only reason the article supports this idea is because the writer is a woman, this idea is similar to Hitler thinking Arian race is superior.” The difference is, Hitler is an individual and “a woman” is not. So, it’s more like linking an article about white supremacy by saying “here is an article from a white person.” But you dont expect every white person to think like Hitler, so you dont emphasize that, meanwhile, it sounds  like you do expect women to think in a certain way. It would be different had you linked it by saying “here’s an article from a feminist” etc. See the difference?

Btw, I dont think this is a big deal or anything, it’s just that you will disregard any example unless it comes from your own life, so it’s what I pick.

My point is literally "consider the source", and you argue even that. Get offline, get hobbies. Do something else, ffs. You people consistently lose every debate because you flat-out refuse to use common sense.

“Consider the source, it’s a woman.”

Yes, that is your point.

It makes no difference that she's a woman. I don't knock her for self-promoting; i knock her because she's a journalist and uses her position to influence drones.

What you “knock” is what you emphasize, it’s pretty basic semantics. You dont have to be aware of it.
