you obviously never read anything at all i post. or, it doesn't sink in. or, you deliberately pick out what you want to argue with, and excuse the rest like artu does.

and the whole "He and his cronies are just eroding the political system"? yeah. i want you to answer this question. it's a two-parter:

are you capable of looking at wrong in ANYONE ELSE IN GOVERNMENT IN THE PAST 4 YEARS, BESIDES TRUMP?

and,

WHY NOT?

No, he’s certainly right-wing and not centerist right-wing. But I think facist is a word people use too easily these days, which results in the word losing all his power, facist this and facist that...

I think in Trump’s case, rather then a devoted, ideologically facist person, you have a spoiled rich man, who inherited his father’s wealth, who feels entitled to order things around. He fails to understand that “the state” is not a firm, this is not like the private sector, you cant do as you wish just because you are “the boss.” Basically, I think of him as spoiled and unfit rather than totalitarian.

Then both are bad at it, Mussolini seized government at first by marching on Rome and having the king make him prime minister, then passed an electoral law that would favour him, and then winning 60% of the vote, then he just outlawed the opposition parties, he didn't even have to declare himself dictator or give himself any special powers.

Hitler needed a really big incident to give himself full powers, and Trump isn't capable of winning an election with ludicrous percentages, so, once more, the new Caesar beats everyone.

(Though technically Mussolini wasn't a fascist dictator in full)

I think that's a bit uncharitable, but this is much more acceptable. If people would just stick to this you wouldn't see this incredible polarization.

it appears as you say, but you forgot that the government is filled with corrupt snakes, from both sides. he took the job to make an attempt to remedy that. chances are, as well, being a businessman, he's the best apt to handle them; his way.

he's already rich, so money's not really a motivator for him(he donates his presidential salary). that's the downfall with everyone else in the government; you can be an idealist, but you also be corrupted because you can make serious money playing the game like most, if not everyone, else.

Strangely enough even Fox News is not fueling the forging crap, and Trump's Tweets come with a warning and can't be shared. What's the matter - Fox and Twitter now part of the left conspiracy?

Seeing a spoilt brat in Trump is dangerously underestimating his sense of entitlement. He has prepared this voter fraud nonsense for half a year now, and that's undemocratic "fascist" methods. It's about usurping power, even risking civil war.
He also doesn't care about laws. He's the American Mussolini so far.

you're so out of the loop, you can't even see how seriously amusing what you just posted, is.

here's some advice: do some research into who owns what, and then find out how they all link up with one another. keep expanding your network of information until you make all the connections. then come back here eventually and apologize for being so very, very lost.

also, you didn't answer my question(s); just spouted more crap about "bad orange man". you guys really ARE brainwashed.

Bernie Sanders was literally the only worthwhile candidate of Democrats, because he was a man with a solid track record when it comes to governing something and actual achievements. Unfortunately he resigned (although I don't know if such a calm person would be a good candidate for president of the dumpsterfire that USA is)

The zombie man who might eventually win, Biden, seems to me like an ideal candidate for a puppet. Kinda like the president in our country. Nevertheless it's sad time for America, on one hand a universally hated man (whatever the reason, there's enough people that hate him to undermine him at every step) who is a bufoon however you like at him (even if he has good intentions), on the other a party that I think will derail America even further judging by how they've handled #blm protests on their own turf...

Both sides are so controversial that I can only expect the worst for USA...

The only thing that interests me in this is that, like Nereus said, USA is so influential that a shift in their politics will influence the whole world for better or worse (I expect worse).

Oh boy, this thread is definitely getting nuked.

I'm surprised Trump did this well. Given all the negative press for the past 5 years, as well as the COVID pandemic and demographic change, he should have lost by a lot, instead he almost won. Good job to him and his election team.

I'd have to disagree with usage of the term 'fascist' when describing Trump, it's just not accurate. Fascism is an ideology that entails much more than a strong, dictatorial leader. And Trump... I don't think he has an ideology other than his favourite protectionism (and, of course, ego). When throwing around accusations about him at least call him 'autocratic' or 'seeking to further an autocracy', that would sound a bit more plausible.

Except he is neither. Trump is an actor, President Trump is just his character who comes across a bit like a dictator and lot like a liar and a manipulator, but in actuallity is all bark, no bite. Trump's no strongman, that's his ego getting the better of him and forcing him play the part in front of the cameras.

'Then why is trying to stay in power so desperately? Why is he falsely claiming the vote was rigged en masse against him?', you may ask. Like he himself said once: 'I used to be a brat, I'm still very bratty'. It's simply that. He is being childishly stubborn. He wore the face of defeat before even the vote started, he wore it during his alleged 'claiming victory' speech on Election Night. He knows better than most that he's lost, but refuses to outright accept it. He's all about winning and he isn't going down without a way to convince at the minimum himself that he had won in reality, but was denied his victory by the 'bad guys'.

Please, USA, don't start a conflict over Trump's cute, but also very dangerous antics.

Judge denies Trump campaign bid to halt Philadelphia count! Not that it was likely they could succeed because you just don't stop counting when someone is ahead. So democracy has prevailed despite Trump efforts to bypass it, great!

Also Biden takes the lead in Georgia! WOW!

Yeah, that. Each candidate is expected to piss on different parts of the world and while Trump is likely to cause troubles to evil China (via Hong Kong, Taiwan, maybe even Vietnam) and Iran, Biden will focus on evil Russia and the Middle East, plus eventually North Korea. So, depending on where do you live, you get the short or the shorter stick. This time however there will be short sticks to draw inside the US itself. In all cases - by the regular Joe (not Biden), not the rich crew which will use it to redistribute capitals among themselves.

No one is going to jail him, not with 67 million people still supporting him. That would go strongly against the 'Unity' the Democrats claim to be after.

A Biden presidency is going to be interesting.

Will Biden be able to reconcile with Trumpists without disenfranchising the progressives in his own party? Will he survive his term at all? Will Trump remain on the sidelines, continuing to agitate the crowds for a re-run in 2024? Will Joe finally remember the name of his opponent?

Find out next time on your favourite reality snow show, US politics!
