Would love for the story to have continued. I picked up H5 and was planning to get H6 as well, thinking the story would continue across these games, but thankfully I found out Enroth / Axeoth didn't continue after H4, so I never picked up H6 (nor will I). I still haven't even gotten around to playing H5.
There are a few of us who have talked about trying to continue the story, using H3/H4, but limited time will probably keep that from happening.
I personally would love to see a HoMM based novel for some events on the Enroth / Axeoth timeline. I know there's The Sea of Mist, but it doesn't involve any of the characters or story plots I care about. It could even continue where Axeoth in H4 left off.
Lots of story to explore..

Yes. Ubi world is weird and completly lose immersion for me. Will be good to see continuation old good universe.
Especially Heroes 5 with abandoned NWC resources and corrected H4 mistakes would be great masterpiece. And MMX based on continent from Heroes IV. Axeoth is unfinished world. And great final with merge Enroth and Axeoth by discovering joininig portals. Thats it!!!

Ah yes, the story of The Reckoning. There is already some work on that front

Looking over some old Ensemble games the other day got me wondering if maybe something like the advancement system for 'Age of Mythology' couldn't be worked into the game. So each town has more creatures in its lineup than they have dwelling spaces for, and so have to pick and choose. And yes, I know that HOMM4 did that, but this would be different, in that each choice at the start would accept what choices you get in the future.

I agree, I'd love to see new campaigns set on Axeoth or in the Spinward Rim in general, and to have all that was prepared for NWC's HV delivered to us at last <3
I mentionned a few times on other threads that I was working on a few campaigns, maybe I should create a thread about it eventually, but they're all set on Aalondor, and I try to flesh out the continent and its lore (by including stuff from Jennifer Bullard's lost files). I replayed all of Heroes 3, it's expacs, and the Chronicles (as well as M&M6-9) to have something solid from which to draw inspiration and to use as a solid foundation.
So far, the first one revolves around Kastore, and suffice to say, anyone bothered by the sci-fi aspect of the universe will NOT like it lol.

Again, I am sorry for the political diversion, but I thought politics more important than Heroes III, at the time, a couple of years ago! This thread was supposed to cover both Eastern & Western Europe, versus just one or the other! I enjoyed making it and seeing the viewers come by... I still think the penalties were un-deserved!

Demon told me burn, kill, destroy Heroec III.. Sanctuary of anti-heroec, pubescent teenage cork-sucking wrong-doers!! Mods give it life, politics take it away! Some games(like the first two in the series; or Red Faction in my experience) give meaning to our lives' streams through time. The rest waste it and remain open to interpretation...
Judging from neighboring poll-thread Worst game in Heroes main series, Heroes 1&2 have the highest rate of approval! So any future titles or incarnations would have to be based, at-least-in-part, on these two members of the old NWC franchise. As of the rest, I think the series pretty much died out with MMH7 - an incompetent offspring. No worries! There are plenty of other games to play! One, not in the least of which is freeheroes2 located in the Library of Enlightenment
