Turkey vs Greece in gas war
Why is Turkey looking for Greek gas? If the gas war starts, could NATO collapse? Russia is sure satisfied.

It's not gass, it's some dumbass islands between them.
And No, NATO wouldn't collapse, because muh black sea control from Erdoganistan. and it being the second most numerous armed force in NATO.

There had been some disputes about islands in the past but recent conflict is indeed about gas.
Erdogan is known for playing the martyr to consolidate his voter base, “my people, theye are all against us, they will not defeat us, we shall overcome” etc etc. And turning every frigging neighbor into an enemy while doing that sure doesnt help.
That being said, Turkey’s sea borders are from the defeat in WW1 and they are ridiculous, a 12 year old can take off from the beach and swim to international waters. This should have been handled with delicate diplomacy and we should have made our point, which is not unreasonable, clearer. The French can come and look for gas in the Aegean but we can not, right under our nose? The EU wants the gas to belong to Greece because, Greece is already an EU member, which means they will directly benefit from this. So, they take Erdogan’s rhetoric and present it as threats, which is very easy to do, considering his image and history. But all that is happening is we want to drill for gas and oil, in waters that are really much closer to mainland Turkey, than they are to mainland Greece.
The alternative sea borders in Turkish officials’ mind is clearly over the top, especially in the Mediterranean south, but it’s reasonable regarding the Aegean drill zones in the west.

I read about this and as much as a troll as Erdogen is, the delineated maritime borders between Greece and Turkey are indeed comical to look at. You can literally exit Turkish water by swimming.

In peacefull times borders marks the solid presence of certain homogen tribes.
War re-wrights tribal maps in favor of the aggressor, and peace treatys do the same as well, mostly by punishing the bad factions for their violence and bloodshed against neighboring town halls and villages.
I know that if something not really interests me, i might be superficial. Thank God(s) that i will not judge the future of rival nations with my comments and thoughts.
