Well, in some languages (including mine), it is spelled Vatikan. So, I’m guessing German is one of them. I still write “standart” instead of “standard” even in English sometimes, old habits die hard.

It might be true.
If not oh well.
The flood was around Mesopotamia, which is beneath water table. I dont believe for aure the entire world flooded.

Most civilizations have a mythical world-wide flood story because... most pre-irrigation civilizations were founded in a wetlands area, specifically floodplains. It was simply the best place for agriculture before irrigation was a thing. However floodplains, as the name suggests, flood. Quite commonly. Normally those floods aren't particularly devastating, but when a major flood occurs? It wiped out agricultural civilizations, or knocked them back to the stone age.
And when your people have been living in a low, wetland valley for a hundred or more years, and a massive flood comes around that wipes out all buildings, carries people out into the sea or oceans, and leaves only the tips of the tallest hills out of the water... well, the pre-irrigation societal response is "God must be punishing us for our sins! Look, the entire world is under water!" When in reality, it was just a once in a century flood caused by greater rains that year upstream, and the only part of the world flooding is the valley they decided to set up shop in that floods anyway (just slightly less) every year.

Those are theories only. Bible is true. People thinking is not interesting. AC Emmerich has visions how it was true and itbwas like in Bible. Read all part o historical AC Emmerich revelations. There is what is symbol what parabol and what is history in Bible. Flood is history not like Iob story.
