Is anyone knows how to change items of the shops?
This is unsolved issue since 1.5 years
Edit: Everything is so complicated, let us discuss it from beginning. I will update first post today. Already passed 1 year and i still haven't succeed.
1-) Let us start with the file. Which file should i work on it?
layers.dialog.blacksmith.life.h4d should i export this file from Heroes4.h4r OR equi.h4r or somewhere else?
First of all let us verify this.
2-) Which version of Heroes 4 Resource Editor should i use? I have tested it on few versions that i have found and none of their edit, settings, help buttons wasn't working. And check this picture, i remember i was able to double click on it and there was a window opening with it's laters but it is not working

Without modifying my dll for Equilibris, and using the layers file I sent you, this is what I see in the blacksmith:
Without the change to the dll, are you able to see the image change, or does the game still crash for you?

I would like all files and screenshots to be here for reference, then.
Anyways the true question for me is how to change them without equilibris DLL.

No. It changes only "how it looks" but still it is Plate Mail.

Yes, I'm aware  I just wanted to see if the game still crashed or if you could see the new look.
It seems likely that there is another place in the dll that needs to be edited as well.

Equilibris is useless for plugin, tho, thus need for base game adressess.

shop works in my mod if someone tried... slow start mod. you just have to restart editor since i switched crature adresses with reseditor

yes you have to change hex values in h4.dll , which is only working with equilibris .... h4.dll comes with equilibris

i have to mention that i use HIEW as a hexeditor so the numbers i postet might be different. the h4.dll is not tht big so you could search for 7E and maybe artifacts next to it. iam not on my computeronly hospital tablet so i cant really help you at the moment

Ok then tomorrow i will try it with HIEV and i will inform you. By the way actually i amsure it was not about h4.dll because everything it fits with offset. Crashes starts when i pack this file or put it manually in data folder layers.dialog.Blacksmith.Life.h4d

you also have to export layer file with reseditor and open wiith gimp. then rename all plate mail with golden one. also numbers and larrow nd so on

I am always changing Plate_Mail with Golden_Plate_Mail. Then i will start to add steps tonight. We can to step by step and i will show "every step" i have taken.

After 358913257893285 of tries still i cannot succeed.
And if someone can help, i want to start taking steps together
1-) I have a folder with Equilibris 3.51 installed. Fresh install of Heroes of Might & Magic 4 and Equilibris 3.51.
2-) ?

Finally i did it! And i found the problems
1-) Uppercase letters. I have changed Golden_Plate_Mail to golden_plate_Mail
2-) ResEdit sometimes was not properly extracting the files.
As i mentioned few days ago, i have find the error by myself
But still i could use help about artifacts icons. My last attemp was axe file. My Golden Platemail is looks like an Axe item in the market.

I am here again. Let us continue on this. STILL i am facing many issues.
First question. If i remember correctly, i was able to double click on it and can see the layers. But no more it is working.
I have tested it on layers of layers.dialog.blacksmith.life.h4d from equi.h4r and heroes4.h4r and none of them worked.
Is anyone knows how can i do that? 1 Year already passed and still no success.

Its probably duble codded.
First use layer position x=y=
Second if double click give artifact nb. xxx.
You must change both.
And maybe more times?
No idea.
You still use resedit?

Yes but my problem is i cannot open the ayers screen. I am stucked at the beginning. Few months ago i was able to open it. Have you checked the link? I have to open layers file and edit it first.
