Maybe because these have mostly been front views. On the battlefields obviously you'll be seeing them from the side most of the time

Thanks for this new look into the project! The units look amazing! I think it is kind of funny that the Ice Maiden is a level 2 creature. In my mind I would have guessed that a creature that casts Ice Bolt or Frost Ring would be level 4 or even higher. I could imagine this ability makes it a very strong tier 2.

Actually, that ability in the teaser was more of a showcase than anything else - the actual Ice Maidens do not have it.
On another note, here is the upgraded version of the Ice Maiden, the Yuki Onna!

The Nisse has gotten its teaser. I still find it slightly disconcerting to see some somewhat more obscure folklore of my local region pop up in something as international as this.

And yes, there will be updates in the future. Keep in mind that the project itself is still under wraps to a good extent, and Palace is something we are gradually showing while preparing everything.

I think releasing DoR with a snowy town like Palace and a creature like Tomte/Nisse would fit perfect for christmas.

I also got kind of a Forge-hype a few days ago. I played the VCMI map/mod Antagarich Burning. While playing this I was wondering if DoR would give us even a chance to play through the missing Forge campaign in some way.
Maybe we'll get some answers to our questions hopefully.

I think this reveal could be the Palace town screen, which would be quite the accomplishment.
Curious where the MDT fractions stand too with Forge, Courtyard, and Grove.

That is several years older than MDT if I remember correctly. That has been around since before HotA I guess.

My understanding is that Grove was seen as the first legitimate fan made fraction and eventually lost support. I think a second team took it over for a while and after that MDT released this preview with it's own twist:
It's old so things probably changed entirely there. Another fraction that may get it's release here is Oasis so hopefully we see something from them in a preview

But indeed, that is the case. We are constantly working on DoR in order to actually complete the assets. We largely value deeds over words.
As for me, right now I am remaking the town's fortifications, which are one of the few last 3D models to finish for the town screen (to note: 3D model =/= materials and textures). Don't worry, the general snowflake-walls castle with towers design won't change.
