This text provides arguments against most popular Russian narratives, many of which if not all we discussed in this thread.

Let's have them vs Chomsky in a debate, that's the way.

Because this is so presumptuous, random Ukrainian professors telling Noam Chomsky that he is "adding further fuel to the Russian war machine by spreading views very much akin to Russian propaganda."

I mean what's the goal? If you nuance anything about the ongoing war, you spread Russian propaganda, no less no more? How retarded are those guys?

At least give a link to what Chomsky did say. And then read response from your link, either it has no sense other than your own propaganda.

I don't understand what's the point in your response. You say that you want a debate between them and Chomsky, but that is exactly what they asked for, read the very last paragraph. You say that we must first see what Chomsky says but they included the links in the very first paragraph. It's just showing that you didn't read the article.

The reason I posted this text is because these same patterns are clearly noticable here in this thread, including in what you post a lot. Instead of reading and evaluating the arguments and providing counter-arguments, you just ignored and started throwing your usual stuff that Russians don't always lie and manipulate. That is not what we're talking about.

The point is that I was aware of Chomsky analysis and I didn't come here to brag about, because I know you guys are in a bloody war, where innocent people die, thus the cold intellectual aspect, the geopolitical mishmash and the quintessence of why this really happened and how to stop it beside yelling profanities at Russians, should be kept between those who understand them then have the power and willing to act. We talked about and we agreed to disagree.

But then you drop in and accuse Chomsky to be a Russian propaganda vector, with link to same worthless and simplistic one-sided analysis we are brainwashed from start, like the expansion of NATO not being on paper, denying sovereignty, US not having any influences in Ukraine and such crap.

Those mean nothing if you look at them only from your perspective. Do you really believe Gorbachev would have signed anything if he was told NATO will go up to Ukraine? Do you really believe major powers as US and China would allow close neighboring nations to hold enemy military bases? Do you really think US has no paramount interest in using Ukraine as a Trojan horse to pull out of both economically and militarily competition their enemy from always, Russia?

Putin told what he was going to do since 2008 then warned everyone around of consequences. Nobody dared to listen because one side (softy EU)  thought he was  bluffing, then the other side (US) wanted him to become the bad guy everyone points fingers at.

So I agree with Chomsky that US approach to Ukraine and Russia has left the domain of rational discourse, it is all about cynical plots and interests, as always when it comes to powers of such magnitude.

The crux is that "Ukraine" was given too much land (+,=that it cannot defend) so this is merely a correction.

It's always the same "tis war is diferent, this war is good, this war is moral" that USA says every ar. Said the same aoutIraq. Said the same about Yugoslavia. Said the same abou Libya. Said the same about Afghanistan. Said the same aout Syria.

Curiously such "military aid to the righteus fighters for freedom and democracy" (islamists, nazis, ultranationalits, and so forth) never turns out good, wonder why that is.

I'd be willing to go to war against vaunted mods Galaad OR Corribus. Moderators, almost my default, have a knack for stirring up the deeper tensions lurking beneath our little squabbles! TIP: It would probably exacerbate the already HIGH inflation, gradually eroding fred80's BroodLing reputation

Anyway, about the topic at hand, I am quite neutral between Russia and Ukraine, myself being born close by and near to that part of the world. The US itself has a nasty habit of over-interfering and circumcising the under-developed nations involved. It will never defeat Russia; However full of pompous cocks that we may be...

Putin denies Gorbachev a state funeral and will stay away

This is a topic that is near and dear to me! I am not Russian myself(Bulgarian) but feel in close solidarity to the gumption of Russia's last Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev whose was and is a mostly peaceful legacy. His reforms left my childhood and early adolescence with a positive impact! To say that Russia is any better than Ukraine would be a disservice to the age-old cause of truth and honesty!

The west needs to find a peaceful compromise; with consideration to both countries' wants and needs without aggravating and inflaming their already tense political relationship! Talk and diplomacy are needed!

Putin needs to understand that not the whole world agrees with his views on history! Russia is just one of the countries struggling with war and globalization! A peaceful compromise is urgently needed!! Animosity and belligerence will NEVER do or suffice! People need to take into account all of the countries' involved wants and needs!

Putin needs to accept Mikhail Gorbachev's lasting liberal legacy and not go farther imitating some of his other predecessors' authoritatian pasts! The middle way between older and younger administrations' ways must be found!!

Ukraine has enough muscle to create lasting peace possible, all by itself!!

utter bs, and obviously so. if this were true, they wouldn't have needed so many other countries supporting them. all of this is neither here nor there, regardless. it doesn't even make sense to argue this point, or continue arguing based on this point alone. putin and zelenskyy are part of the same globalist movement. the "war" in ukraine is political theater; a means to achieve several globalist ends. look at who is profiting, and who stands to profit the most from the "conflict". not the commoners, obviously, because they are the ones being chucked into the meatgrinder; on both sides. where are the billions going to ukraine from the U.S. alone, ending up? more importantly, WHY is biden sending billions of dollars to the ukraine? doesn't have anything to do with the pre-"war" corruption he and hunter were a part of in ukraine, does it? surely not. that would be just be TOO coincidental(and again, not the point of the "conflict" anyway).

there is so much corruption at all levels in government worldwide, and it's all an acute inversion of democracy. both putin (who's affiliation page at the WEF website has been removed by the WEF) and zelenskyy work for the WEF, among many, many others in politics and other points of influence around the world. and now, the WEF is hiring hundreds of thousands of people online to "fight online conspiracy theories". i mean, seriously. the snow's obvious. and when you use any online search engine to actually SEARCH for facts? you'll find the search engines aren't giving you the same results you would have gotten in the past.

because the globalists and their supporters are doing everything they can to cover up the truth about what they're doing.

but sure, go ahead and keep snowing about "the war in the ukraine", and how "russia's the bad guy". like any of you have any grasp AT ALL of what's actually happening. like any of you understand the POINT of the "conflict".

tell me, how are your leaders treating the citizens of your countries? have things improved in europe, or are they getting progressively worse? what are your leaders telling you? are LOGICAL excuses being made for the increasing mistreatment of citizens of your countries? are any of you "getting used to suffering" yet?
