Just make him a skeleton speed specialist. +2 speed to skaletons and skeleton warriors

One way is to nerf his starting skills. So instead to start with armorer he can start with eagle eye or first aid. But necro players are not gonna like that at all

Galthran with EE, so he doesn't visit a town for troops and spells. He becomes Thant II also walkthrough. Only he needs Scholar and scouts bring troops. So he doesn't attack against towns than collects skeletons. Salamandre used only 5% on his Necro Land (RoE) tournament map, but Salamandre banned Galthran.
Galthran with FA, so he uses Vampire Lords, etc against Dwarves, for example, so skeletons grow up, but FA does nothing to skeletons, FA for over 3lvl.
I think the best is EE to Galthran.

Boy, that was a map I made in 2004 or so, then I never kept track (I played it online only once), how can you remember such details, hat off sir Ghost.
