I hope you understand that campaigns are Heroes 4 Standard aka H4S is an official campaigns.. TGS and WOW are a very different.. Ok And then we can talk about campaigns..

Most memorable to me was Emilia campaign (Price of Peace) which is least cliche too.

Anyways it was kind of semi-unfinished which is also why I made the remastered versions.

yes, actually the campaigns are very well written in the text spots in general, they have believable characters with "real" emotions (though I disagree with the portrayal of chaos as heartless bandits, but they even managed to make Death character sympathetic)

Ye,s the in-game implementation lags far behind (lets take into account that the designer isn't the mapmaker), like still making you fight default stacks of a single weak creature type when you are level 30-40 with tons of bonuses and artifacts, which makes no gameplay sense. Even the triggers for the dialogues aren't ideal as they sometimes appear when they shouldn't (for example assuming your triggering army has your main hero which isn't always the case). AI enemy, predictably, can in most occassions not keep up with your power creep.

In the remastered versions for Ultimate I have fixed several of these problems, for example by strongly buffing monster numbers and giving mixed stacks in the later parts of the game, and also giving AI more resources and dwellings. But it is an ongoing endeavor.
