Still trolling. I have no idea why you strive to be as obnoxious as your so-called president. Taking pleasure in riling people up with the basic idea of making fun of them and their opinions for your amusement is rather low.
Too low for me.

It is actually pretty straightforward.

In your world, I am violating multiple social taboos.

In my world, I am asking legit questions. That makes me oh-so-obnoxious.

We will see what happens with Iran in the coming months and years. You think you know what's going to happen, but you don't. You have a hunch. There's a difference.

And the idea that millions of lives can be saved in the long-term with a change of leadership and policy in Venezuela was a Biden/Harris thing before it was ever a Trump thing.

Forget about Biden or Trump, you accept the fact that U.S. intervention is not motivated by alturistic reasons. They intervene for hegemonia, how is that Nobel prize for peace material.

Soviets building the atomic bomb resulted in mutually assured destruction and prevented an active nuclear war, which probably saved millions of lives. Should Stalin have been awarded the Nobel peace prize for building the atomic bomb, too?

Is this an intellectual discussion? Our loved blizzard has built Greenland between Noble.. YEAH artu is right that is urethra in the faeces matter of a penis or vagina, if you are woman.. Why evil people can't deserve the Nobel? The main thought or idea that is a person is doing a lot of work going forward without bribe, violent, use of force, etc in today day.. Fun blizzard thinks about destroying Iran, taking a piece of land, interference in another country's affairs, etc Ok our Finnish ex-president Martti Ahtisaari only spoke with.. And Ahtisaari got a Nobel without violent, etc Do you remember? Maybe America thinks so different way.. Why not arrested Putin in Alaska, when exercise of power abuse is the same thing.. Almost Trump, when the world asked or thought the Noble chance, but Trump started to overwork or his own idea-box, when his image, thought, idea, etc or he saw the Noble chance, and then he showed himself, an example of active, making a public, etc Thus Trump is Trump..

@artu

Forget about the Nobel.

Dont you want Iran to possibly be a democratic republic or constitutional monarchy over what it currently is?

And 2nd question: if it DOESNT happen through outside coercion (maybe because some people have scrupulosity over that idea), then how, in your view, is it suppose to come about? The people aren't soldiers. These protests have happened before. They just end up getting pummeled.

Like, JJ coincides with his current government and he is scrupulous over the idea of using force. Sure, fine. Conscientious objection. But if people's consciences cant bear the thought, what is an alternative that doesnt completely suck?

I dont mind the mullah regime going down with help from foreign forces, but I have not once witnessed U.S. intervention resulting in a democratic regime in the region. Countries break down and totalitarian forces take over the shattered pieces. And I really dont want yet another civil war between ethno-muslim sects in my next door and I wouldnt want that for the Iranian people either.

Iran has an educated middle-class, they are civilized people mostly very fed up with the regime themselves. So, if the intervention from U.S. or Israel only remains a help to overthrow a regime hostile to them, I dont really mind. But they may and most probably will try to turn it into a proxy state, screw up and there will be blood.

Needless to say, I think there’s nothing worth a Nobel prize about any of this.

Okay then.

I still maintain that "interventions never work" is a historically inaccurate internet catch phrase that doesnt really describe the past 80 years of politics. Iran is culturally very different from Afghanistan and it could be a well developed country within a few generations or less. I think there is potential.

Anyway, I am done for the time being. I will return when NATO implodes to post one more time before the end. Or in 24 hours. Whichever comes first.

@jj

I genuinely believe I would do a pretty good job as your chancellor, except that my Spanish is kind of rusty. Your current leader is strong and smart but he needs to be more flexible in Ukraine and honestly just more flexible in general. He also needs to smile more and add more color to his personality because usually he looks like a deep sea creature staring into the abyss with a blank look on his face.

I said “in the region.” Interventions worked in Japan, Germany, they worked in the Balkans and sometimes in Latin America. The Middle-East is a very different hornet’s nest.

Middle-East is in the very bad shape due to colonial ex powers, including Russia, dividing it among themselves in the beginning of the 20th century. And silently continuing in these spheres of dominance, for much longer.

Return to monarchy is unlikely a right way to go, noticeably son of Reza Pahlavi has a very low mandate and even Reza Pahlavi was not their, rather 'adopted', as his father was Cossak.

https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Rez%C3%A1_Pahlav%C3%AD
https://www.euronews.com/2026/01/11/who-is-reza-pahlavi-the-heir-to-the-persian-throne-and-what-is-his-vision-for-irans-polity

Anyway, anyone can be good now, if he can negotiate and secure new fair order. Like we see in Syria, not exactly cleanly, it's possible. But USA support must be requested, or any other, not forced.

Yeah...

I don't think Ayatollah is going to "request" US support, and I don't think that the US is going to ask for permission. It is arrogant like that. Always failing to show proper courtesy to psychopaths.

Something something colonialism, something something victim. Very sad.

Strange how almost all of the Gulf nations seem to have recovered reasonably well many, many, many years ago and have a standard of living that is comparable to some European nations. Strange how the main odd one out is coincidentally the same one ruled by clerics who have a deranged obsession with Israel since... forever, even to the point of voluntarily wrecking their own economy for decades. But yeah... partitions that happened in a war from over a century ago when people were still flying around in blimps. That is the real culprit.

You don't decide their politics.. When the revolution, the US and Iraq attacked Iran.. I hope not that it will continue in today day.. But Iranians are unhappy with the current government.. Have you heard any city shouting/screaming death to Khamenei? Yes later on the revolution again.. What can the US do? I mean permissive.. If Russia or China for example bites into other people's things.. The US can help the Iranian revolution.. It cannot order or China will order the US in the future.. Because you did.. The USA hates communism, etc - Looks at Russia is invisible communism, when the rules are the same as the Soviet, but economics and flag is a different, thanks for Yeltsin.. Maybe? Ok again, yes, dictator, so what? But how much do Iranians want a return to the old politics? Today they do uprising.. Remember that minority, etc the same as LBGT.. They can overthrow the government in principle.. If true they want to overthrow, so soon or in the near future..

That is very true.

The US did however majorly contribute to Israel's early survival, which did nothing less than prevent Holocaust 2.0, not to mention benefit the livelihoods of Israelis, including Israeli Arabs.

Also, I highly doubt Kuwait would be standing right now.

And to be completely honest, I find the culpability of the British and French to be very much secondary as well. Forgive me if I laugh at the idea that the Gulf region would have been peaceful after the Ottoman disintegrated IF it were not for the British and French partitioning the territory into straight lines. Sorry: I'm having a lot of difficulty swallowing a turd of that magnitude. Smells a lot like a disingenuous post-colonial rewriting of history to me that VERY conveniently absolves the regional elite of responsibility and projects (scapegoats) it all onto somebody else.

What the hell are you talking about? The US did nothing of that sort, except recognizing Israel immediately after their declaration of and independent state - but Stalin's USSR did the same. Instead, 2 weeks after the start of the Arab-Israeli war in 1948 an UNSC resolution put a weapons embargo on the whole region - broken by Czechoslovakia, from which Israel bought weapons to defend itself. Ironically, part of those weapons were of German origin.

Blizz, I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt here because you have a certain style that can appear as trolling, yet, your style used to be like this even before trolling was a thing. But are you serious? You compared some of the Gulf countries conditions to European countries within the context of U.S. intervension in the Middle East. When replied the countries that had U.S. intervention are not doing well, you now say that they were going to be in war anyway. Maybe. Most probably. But that is not the point here, the point is, the interventions didnt fix things, they often resulted in worse outcomes.

Because of unbrained.. The same thing is a legendary liar, etc So my opinion, but I asked Google AI.. Here

Whether internet trolls are "stupid" is debated: some see them as intelligent manipulators seeking reactions, while others view the act as foolish, stemming from real-life issues like boredom or a need for power, linked to traits like sadism or narcissism, though many find it hard to generalize their intelligence or motives.

And other you've easier to talk with another.. In many things are jungle (to understand things/matters), xxxx, etc It depends on.. But my friend circuit doesn't interested a thing.. A stupid, an idiot..

I meant Gulf States in general. Colonialism was brought up and I pointed out that several Gulf states have a standard of living comparable to many European countries. I wasn't referring to Iraq or Afghanistan.

In Persian Gulf 1, the US already had a strong partnership with Kuwait. There was no treaty obligation  however it was responding to what was already territorial aggression, not too much unlike supplying Ukraine, although Ukraine has no direct US troops involved because that would trigger bad stuff.

I dont see a rational defense for Persian Gulf 2. A large sum of money could be used to help with reconstruction, but two obstacles for this are, 1) participatory nations in the invasion (which are a lot) would at least need to pitch in somewhat, and 2) there would need to be assurances that the money doesnt get sucked into a black hole. You could also start arresting certain people, but that gets into questions of who to arrest or not arrest. People talked back then about GWB & company going to jail but nothing ever developed. The reality is thst accountability does not exist in the Middle East with Iraq and it would be very hard to ever imprison a US president even with solid grounds to do it.

I am completely fine with the idea of a world police actually doing this stuff instead of the US. Small problem is that no such thing exists. Random people in unaffiliated countries for example whine about Maduro when the vast majority of Venezuelans throughout the world are happy he is gone.

So yeah, I dont ALWAYS have a problem with the US doing illegal stuff. I realize the okay in the UN Charter is absent and people like Putin are correct to note a double standard in consequences.
