That's great news. I was always a fan of Shatner as Kirk, yeah he could be hammy sometimes, but to me he was born for this role. 
Glad to see he's still doing awesome things like recording heavy metal at his age.

He already has albums. I remember downloading one, it is still in my archive. They are humor rather than an actual go at musicianship. Or maybe some personal fantasy of a rich movie star, I don’t know, just take a look at this Pink Floyd cover for instance, it’s not like he’s seriosly trying to sing. More like a Muppet Show verison of the song. He even has a blues album, literally titled “The Blues” with good players backing him. But he sings like it’s a comedy show on that one, too.

Btw, my grandmother is also turning a 100 this May, Gulsin Onay, who is a friend of hers will be attending the special party and give a little concert. So Sal, if I make it to a a hundred years old, will you play at my birthday party, I cant follow Gulsin Onay with a pop band after all.

That's great! My own grandmother lived to 82, she is gone now. Don't know if I'll live that long... 
Spaceballs 2 ought to be fun. I'd like to see it on the cinema screen.
