to the gootch: you said norwegians are swedes who hate swedes.. in some ways correct actually.
From 1814 to 1905 we were in union with the swedes, and that is (my theory ofcourse)the main reason of our skimmerishes in forums like this.
Many things to be told, but there are not only norwegian and swedish people here, and not even half of them would enjoy (as I do) a historylesson...
well, stereotypes:
Americans: The prime example on ideals gone wrong, more so even than soviet...

Are you compairing us with Russians? How dare you. We will never be close to the Russians nor will they be as great as us. Sure we had an alliance back in WW2 but after that the cold war started between us. Ever since then we've done nothing but compete from governmental issues to space exploration, which for a long time was like a battle of 'who can discover the most stuff out there first'. No I don't hate the Russians, but I don't agree with all of their beliefs though either. Everyone is different though. Those people from Russia that don't like how things work there have many times in the past come to other countries including the U.S. Those from France know that well. I believe that's why they gave us Lady Liberty.

What I meant was simply to point out that there are, let me say this gently, "flaws" in your system..as there were "flaws" in the communist Russia.
Iīve never claimed you hate russians!
Exept the russians tried to fix theirs...

1) Being American im really supprised you are capable of using a computer, redneck.
2) Should you not be out playing with guns shooting people or animals while drinking beer or in a gang war?
3) How on earth did you get a computer in to your trailer?

We arn't all Rednecks ya know. The fact is The majority of Americans arn't Rednecks, don't live in Trailers, and are some the smartest there are when it comes to computers. The only real competition we have is Japan but then again they would have never gotten as advanced as they are now if it hadn't been for the U.S. Sure one of the only major video game companies from America went out (i'm refering to SEGA or SErvice GAmes as it was origionally called.) but that means nothing. We're still great with computers and other electronics. And as for you Matthy, you disgruntled, screwd up excuse for a human (or penguin. Not quite sure.) Untill you come to America and actually witness real Americans, you shouldn't be talking.

This thread is an ironic thread where we can all poke fun at our contries prejudice; ie, to the token Brit an American is Homer Simpson, a Swede is a turnip like vegetable that you eat, and the Dutch all live in windmills. This is NOT another America V Everybody thread. Been there, done that, refused to buy the T-shirt as it wasn't in my size.

About Greek love
I've been in Greece with my class when I was about 15. Nice country, nice people and no bad surprises...
However, the tourist shops look more like sex shops with strange stuff... like old potteries with "odd" pics on them, some ancient books full of "odd" pics... hem "odd" means obviously what were Gootch & OldTimer talking about !
Hey I was shocked ! And my friends (both girls & guys) too !

That was pretty good arachnid.
Relax MightyMage, this one is in good fun. We're talking about sterotypes, not facts.
Anyway, there's a certain degree of truth to them.
When I was 18 we had several foreign exchange students come from Germany to our school and stay with us for a month or so.
I got to know some of them. They asked me what I was going to do for the summer, I told them I was going to be a lifeguard. Their collective first response was to say, "BayWatch!"
Now, the circus act known as The Jerry Springer show is beamed to their televisions. These Euros love it because: 1. It's hilarious.
2. It gives them a great insight into 'real' america.
So ease up. Some of us yanks are letting these Euros know what we REALLY think about them, and they're doing the same. It's all good.

After I married my cousin, I fell in love with her mother and decided to out myself on Jerry and fight it out with my shemale stripper girlfriend who was trying to get beat out of her gang because it interfered with her klan activities. Needless to say, Jerry thought my life was way too normal so he took me outback for some oral negotiations, I said, "What makes you think I would let you go to the forbidden place when I won't even let my shemale stripper girlfriend, her transvestite judge father, my cousin/wife, her lesbian hooker mom, or my mongoloid daughter do it?" Jerry replied, "I'll put you on TV."

There've been a lot of American in general stereotypes, but as MightyMage (much too seriously) put it, we all get on each other according to city/geographical area, so instead of my American stereotypes, I'll put up my specific area ones. I come from...
Detroit: A)Obviously I'm black (African American if you must be P.C.)
B) I'm into cars
C) I've murdered at least 3 people a week since birth
D) Because of stereotype C, I'm really, really tough
E) I love Hockey way too much
F) I'm incredibly poor and uneducated
My roots happen to be Scottish, so I must be doing all this while wearing a dress and shagging sheep...
