I would suggest u practise a lot b4 u lay ur faith in the hands of Pitlords.

On Extreme and Blockbuster it might be a very good tactic tho.
Just make sure u have ur Merc-mine asap.

I guess it's worth to wait wif the upgrade of ur devils to spend the 9 merc on upgrading PL's

Another thing tho: I do like to upgrade my efreet day 8 the last 2 times I played inferno. Really helped killed the shooters for goldmine and/or 2nd area.
It's also a setback of 5 merc-supply, but still.

It always can be good

Daemong farming is always a good deal, always i play inferno i have a calc on hand......i don't want to lose any hitpoint of creatures

And Pitlords don't resurrect, 1,4232143243wrw34321432423213 % of daemons, they resurrect 50 HP of deamons. canot resurrect more daemons than pitlords OR dead cretures.

You are also limited by the amount of pit lords you have.
1 pit lord can resurect 1 demon
9 imps -> 1 pit lord -> 1 raised demon

Today I had a game where my 15 Pit Lords were able to summon up 21 demons from a stack of imps ... so I'm wondering ... is it true that summoning demons is limited by the number of Pit Lords? And, if yes, in which way?

A few other restrictions on the plan:

The Pit Lord has the top rank on the death list of the AI. In a battle, the AI will run all it's units to suicide, only to take down your Pit Lords. It takes careful planning and good tactics to survive battles with all Pit Lords intact. Especially if there are shooters in the enemy army.

The stack needs to be completely dead before they can be raised. Before battle, you need to calculate how much fodder you need to raise a decent amount of demons, put them in a seperate stack and let them take all the damage. If the enemy is too weak and fails to kill your fodder, then you lose your fodder without demons. If the enemy has a bit of mobility, they will go for the Pit Lords and leave the fodder. Again, it takes careful planning to do this right.

The demons raised are unupgraded demons. These are quite slow and the upgrade to horned demons would be desirable. However, keeping them upgraded can be a logistical nightmare.

I'm not sure, but I think that elementals, undead and mechanicals cannot be ressurected.

Wandering slow creatures like dwarves, dendroids and golems are good for harvesting. You just push the fodder to their side of the battlefield (haste if necesary), and they will pummel it first, because there's nothing else within reach. Tested on impossible.

lol, how the heck did I get into this?

also interesting to see that bjorn asks for inferno info AT THE END of the ww tribe season, being member of "my" inferno (& dungeon) tribe. go play some games will ya

with the 3 pit lord bonus in tribes on fixed maps, it was funny though. always had 20+ demons middle of week one and it was unbelievable how many stacks wanted greater glory. guess they did not know they would end up as demons hehe.

afaik, there's another thread about demon farming in the library. it has all the infos this thread has and maybe a little more.

You'll soon have my Heroic Calculator 2.0, which has the demon farming feature built in.

Right for the 50 HPs. Wrong that pitlords cannot resurrect more demons that there are in the pitlords stack. I've tried it out recently. Say, 7 pit lords - that will be 350 HP resurrected - can bring up to 10 demons, provided that they have a dead stack with enuf HPs from which to raise.

..an easy way is to print this little Table. There ull find in seconds the optimized creature amount for some nice farming.

Its limited to a realistic 4 weeks Pit Lord Production and by 35 HP per creature as after this its a 1 to 1 situation (1 Archangel with 250HP will give u 1 Demon).

it is weaker than those supreme dragons and angles
but he is stronger than these other 7th l creatures

so what if he has 200hp

and pit lords have pretty good damageand I never upgrade gogs beacause I only summon deamons with these and they take all the fire in a battle where u fight with some ranged atack ability guy

something i want to add in demons ressurection

for example you regarding to xarfax tableau your pitlords need 125 imps for x number of demons... if you got 126 imps you got +1 demon.

ofcourse its works if its not passing your pitlords demonressurect limit.

its a little detail but 1 demon for 1 imp is cool

Inferno should not be underrated because in the hands of a skillful player it is the most dangerous town. You can do demon farming with hero which carries whole army, and you give efreets to Zydar if you teach him Armaggedonn. You are able to have two very strong armies and the game should be over in these circumstances.

Well... I must agree.
A correction: In appropriate conditions (arm.) fighting against a skillful player, Inferno is one of the most dangerous towns.
