What would all of you think of maybe a heroes movie or cartoon!
With all the game movies coming out (tomb raider,final fantasy) what would you think of a heroes movie! I think a war with fantasy creatures would be awesome!

i would laugh my ass off! No movies or cartoons why would anyone one want to see a movie about it???? I also think tomb raider will flop!

Dungeons & Dragons
I dont think Dungeons and Dragons tore up the box office, but It did look kinda neat (i.e. Ill watch it when it comes out on video, but not worth paying the box office prices)

Everything in this movie was laughable: acting, special effects, costumes... It was made by people who know nothing about role-playing.

Yeah, I don`t like the idea of making anything into a mnovie or cartoon. Heroes works best as a strategy game. Why try to make something different out of it?

When you saw movies like Dragonheart or Dungons and Dragons, you hope there won`t be any movie like it after but maybe there will be some great movie director with vision who will make brilliant fantasy movie - and I hope first will be Peter Jackson.

War with fantasy creatures could be worth of seeing!!!
Just imagine: Different town troops (forming armies) battling each other in a movie  . With great sound effects, almost photo-realistic computer animation (like in a coming Final Fantasy movie), majestic music (each town would have a different battle music =I), good story......
If someone could have a great vision of it..............
Hey! Why wouldn`t we make that story!!!!

i would love to see a homm movie, not a cartoon though, a cartoom would just be gay
a homm movie would be awesome, i know pple often complain about movies catagoriesed in action having few action sceens, well theres no problem there, in homm u always have battles, and i would love to see some huge behemoth slice the hell out of some lil piss hag peasant, that would be dope, and the movie would be like a campaign, it would be a great idea to make a homm movie

I don`t agree that cartoon would be gay. Fantasy stories are always better presented as a cartoon than like a movie. See some masterworks as a " Princess Mononoke " or " Lord of the Rings ".

Well....Not really....
I think a HoMM movie would look kind of stupid. For one, there are so many aspects of the game, like heros and creatures that the director woudl have to include, it woudl drive him crazy. Second, the game woudl be much better, like a book. A cartoon may be better than a movie, just a little. But that's just my opinion.

well i just dont like cartoons, and thats true that the director would go nuts, there is alot to the game, oh well, if they could do it i would love to see it

Book
A book would be better. If the book made you make choices like, fight moster (yes/no) and then jump to page xx if yes and yy if no, then we could all end up with different sories!

I agree, a book would be much better than a movie or cartoon. Maybe a series like Dragonlance or Forgotten Realm.
Hey, the series Dragonlance is somewhat related to HoMM, and maybe the closest thing we have to the game in book form. I've only read half of a book from the series, but I could see many relations.

Yeah, that would be bad. The theme for Dungeons and Dragons was good, but it was a little corny and predictable. I heard that the reviews weren't too great, and I see what they mean.

And what about a comic?
I saw Dungeons and Dragons some months ago and... well, I have no words soft enough to avoid hurting someone, so I'll keep the silence. The only reason I can imagine that picture was made for is the coming of the Lord of the Rings saga, and if I could turn back time, the producers should pay me (and pay a lot) to see that picture. To the boy who is planning to hire it on videotape... don't tell later that nobody warned you.
That HOMM movie could be the same ridiculous thing than D&D or Street Fighter (oh, that final jump when all the characters join wounded me more than a 99 spell power implosion!!), but, what about a comic? In a comic series are time to develop all the hero characters and no graphical limitations... I surely will try it.

X-Men was a very good movie, final fantasy will be at least ok, maybe very good, and tomb raider will be a fun ride.
It may be a little early for hollywood to come up with hordes of medusas and undead and such...but only just barely. In a few short years this stuff won't be hard at all. And if they made a big budget movie it would not be hard to imagine a heroes movie soon. Look at the sucess of oscar winning movies like braveheart and gladiator. Now just add the fantastical elemeents and we're in business. It can definately be done...and in the short future we will be seing MANY more movies along this avenue. Its definately the way things are going. Look at the matrix too. That was fantasy with all kinds of cool affects. Just need to add the creatures and magic...no problem!

Another Idea
I heard just recently that there was goign to be a tv series based on the book "The Mysts of Avalon". Unfortunatly, I think that the directors will really screw up on it, and be a big disapointment. Maybe this idea woudl go good with HoMM 3, a nice mini-series. Something like the 10th kingdom, which wasn't that bad.
Or, I agree, a comic would be good. Only if the guy doing it does a good job.

I would see a film like gladiator only then with Mintotaurs medusas SCYLLAS Harpys killing that stupid Crusadars and stuff.
Ofcourse the greath Gryphon lord and Paladin are there to kill the monsters.
But i think they should make a movie like that.
That should be cool. Fighing in a giant arena full of man.
