Was wonderin if any of you had been editing your character till it is utterly invincible? full damage absorbtion with all non class skills and spells, damage like half a gazillion on nova spell, and almost infinte damage on melee, and ranged. And ot all heroes players love Diablo. I never played throught the whole game, and played more than level 5 with a legit character. And I still dont play it so dont ask me to duel. If you want my hacked piece of character ask and ill give it. don't want it anymore....

My closed B.Net sassy is actually coming along fairly well 9or was last time I looked. She has two Bart's claws, which is really not bad. And before the tossers chime in, Closed has to be 100% legit.

What's the fun in hacking? This I never understood. There is no honor in cheating or hacking. When playing with hacked DiabloII characters, where's the challenge? The best hacked character wins? No offense, but that's not my opinion on fair gaming. I've made some rather interesting character builds myself in the past. A very succesful high level necro without summons among them. If I come accross an evil amazon that whoops my butt, then too bad for me. Tough luck, but at least I go down in honor.
Play well, cheaters end up in hell!

sorry cat but this noob is offering his hacked character on this board (or parts of it) . and its against the Code of conduct. i would apreciate if a mod could delet the dump thread of him. cheaters are all brainless idiots ( yep might be direct insult to all cheaters - but i think its the only thing a cheater deserves isnt it ? )

Actually, Motor, oh ye of little comprehension, Blizzard actually condones the Hacking Ladders.
These are not hacks in the classical sense, but and example of the new dimensions of the game. Nightshiver and the Nightshiver Ladder are B.Net supported and even have a separate section of B.Net.
Closed B.Net is for legitimate gameplay, ie the game as god intended. It's a laugh. Hacking cannot be used in closed.
Open is entirely for hacked characters and most sites that do not support Warez or cracks will allow D/l'd characters as a basis for learning. If blizzard is kewl with it then you have no right not to be, as "hacked" is the word commonly used, but a more accurate description would be "built" or "created".
There are a large number of separate hacking ladders also. Ultra high skillz, 99's, elites, mega levels, teens. These are all places where people can demostrate their ability with maths, coding and graphics.
If you do not object to WOG I wouldn't really try and object to NS hacks.

Hacking D2 open ie Save file editing requires the application of hex editing checksum recalculation and restamp and for top duelers binary manipulation to achieve a credible dueler but hey i dont expect you to comprehend taking games beyond there defined limits and creating a new form of game play, organisation and infrastructure to support that *sigh* lmao

look guys im not dumb...i know that you dont cheat others that do not cheat but that you play with other hacked characters...and still it is dumb coz its not what the game was ment to be is it?
and i know what a hex editor is...i used that in older games a lot, norton commander was the thing to use, so forgive me if i dont fall in love with hacked diablo2 characters

As indicated D2 is now 2 yrs old we have created a new game from the old nothing to do with playing the game as originally intended and 2000 duelers who participate daily all agree it was a great development.
but not for everyone it seems

yep yep Hex workshop is great i use that and winhex in addition we also write and use Vb and C++ script to recalculate and restamp the checksum otherwise you get the infamous "Bad Generic File" Hex editors alone will not calculate the Diablo checksum algorithm.
