F I N A L S / U P D A T E - 1st August
Thankyou to all who played and please watch for tournament #2 coming soon.
RULES:
1.NO CHANGES TO THE RULES
2.Each player must play every other player twice back to back, one as white one as black.
4.Games will be timed, 10 minutes each player played on the MSN Gaming Zone.
*Note* The time can be changed if both players agree otherwise stays at 10 minutes 
5.Points are as follows: WIN = 2, DRAW = 1, LOSS = 0
6.One player to post results, only, like in this example: Sir_Elric plays No_Good = 2/0, 1/1
7.Any disputes will be sorted out via IM or email not posting in this thread!.
There will now be a knockout comp for the top 2 point scorers.

Chess Tournament
I have decided to sign up. (Obviosuly)
In spite of the dramas in RedSoxFan3's Chess Tournament, this is probably a whole new game, as the rules were not 'to standard' in the other tournament.
From what I've read, the rules look commendable, as a normal chess game would go, and the various advantages between white and balck will mean nothing.
I have only 1 query:
What is the motive for the decision on who is allowed to progress into the next round-if the Tournament is done in that fashion?
It would be nice to have finals as such, as then the tournament can be decided more precisely.
Is the other tournament still going ahead?

This is a strictly point orientated comp.
After all players have played all their games the player with the most points is the winner.

Im signing up
I like all rules except, if both players agree on it, they should be able to play with however much time they want, as chess usually isn't a game played in 20 minutes... however i am willing to play with the standard 10 min time if my opponent wants to, although i will certainly try to coax them into making it a 20 min time limit for each, and not 10

I started a different comp because your rules were for no game of chess I ever heard of...
Do those rules look strange?
One little flaw with your tournament. If EVERYBODY plays EVERYONE, then how are people going to be able to play multiple people in opposite time zones? I don't see how people can do this. It seems like an impossible task.

For me it doesnīt matter who is the tournament "owner", but i only want to play. Come on guys, you are having some stupid discussions. I will play in both tournaments, if it is possible. Letīs only play, start these DAMN things!

10 min games and in gamezone? Awww, but I'm in.
I played games against Djive. Good games and I was lucky to pull a victory in the second one. Camelnor was also a good opponent but he wasn't used for fast games.
RESULT
Thunder plays Djive = 2/0, 2/0.
Thunder plays Camelnor = 2/0, 2/0.
Thunder plays Dar Kraven = 2/0, 2/0.
