Hey wassup? I'm new to Heroes community, hehe just thought i'd point that out, in Heroes III, i forgot what do you need for the library of enlightment? its diplomacy and something else i forget what damnit! lol, and by the way, is Heroes IV alot better that Heroes III?

Are you kidding ??? I only know diplomacy & learning can lower the entry requirement of lv10 to library. Even so, the lowest possible lv is lv4 ....... Well, maybe my memory not function very well.....

Well it says You are nor Famous nor Diplomatic, i have diplomacy and leadership, i thought it was that, but that didnt work

did you have any of the diplomacy artifacts also? Maybe those can lower the level too.

Yes, I have a strong feeling the one in HOMM3 was the inspiration.
Okay, back on the topic (what was it again?) Oh yes the library.
I'm pretty sure it is infact a skill level of 10 across the board. I'll put 10 buck's on that

Every level of diplomacy gives you 2 levels discount on the requirement to enter Library of Enlightenment.
So that if your hero =

I wonder how a hero can be expert diplomacy (or any other secondary skill..) on Level 1......????
Normaly you start with two basics or one advanced secondary skill on Level 1.....

...it is very simple:
no diplomancy = lvl10
basic diplo = lvl8
advanced diplo = lvl6
expert diplo = lvl4
There are no arts which influence this, thats a stupid fairy tale. All this so called "diplo arts" should be renamed into "surrender arts", cause thats the only thing they do: Each of them reduce the surrendering costs by 10 percent..nothing else! .
Example:
surrender with 1 wight:
costs for one wight: 200 gold
normal surrendering cost 50%: 100 gold
reduced by expert diplo + all 3 surrender arts = 60% + 30% = 90%
...you pay 10 golds to surrender.
