Honestly, taking XP from chests is probably even worse than Capitol first. You give away all that important building-phase gold and main hero movement for practically nothing.

i only choose the experience once i have my capital built- which can be anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks. before that i do choose the gold.
i dont have any stragety in petciclar but i usually build the city hall right away then go up to the 4th or 5th level creature then upgrade them all then try to go to capital which takes about 3 weeks usually depending on what castle im using

On a second note i would never have figured that this place would be full of bwwaaaak bwaaaaaaks, you must have an opinion on for example "worst mod" or "worst poster" so why afraid to say so?
