Have you ever injured yourself playing computer games?

Well I have.  Let me give some background - last year, 5 friends and I rented a house together.  We also had the free loading "7th roomate" who kept his computer at our house, ate our food, used our power and internet, and was there more than any of the rest of us, but we loved him nonetheless.  Our computers were all hooked together with ethernet cables.  There is no better computer gaming experience than playing on an INTRAnet.  No lag, nobody is ever booted, plus, the best part about it is you can hear eachother and heckle eachother while watching the replay afterwards.  (There are few things more satisfying than hearing your opponent's scream of anguish when he suddenly realizes that you are executing an extremely successfull dark templar rush or when he realizes that the "Nuclear..Nu..Nucle..Nuclear launch detected" was directed at him, and he's now dealing with fallout at two of his expansions as well as his main base.)

Anyway, one of the roomates... er... all of us bought seperate, completely legal copies of Diablo II.  None of us had ever played before, so our first experience with the game was multiplayer and ever map and quest was brand new to us.  We started playing at around 8 or 9 at night.  I was an amazon.  When I realized the sun had risen, I knew I was in trouble, especially since it was winter and the sun was rising pretty late.  I also had a really crappy desk chair - this old ikea thing molded out of cheap blue plastic.  My entire right arm (which was running the mouse) had cramped all the way up into my neck and my left hand was a shriveled claw.  I literally could NOT play again for 2 days since my arm had so severely cramped.  To say nothing, of course, of the fact that my eyes felt like they had been boiled in vinegar.
Curse you Blizzard.

Anyways one day I came in to do some relaxing on the comp and I poofed on it and it collapsed beneath me.
I hurt my butt really bad but I can laugh about it now

When I got my first computer game(about 10-12 years ago, today I am 18, I was about 6-8), I spent the whole afternoon and some part of the night playing Grand Prix, I dont know if you know this game, it is very old(I think you have already noticed it!!), made by Accolade. A Formaula 1 simulator. So, back in the happenings, I spent a lot of time with my fingers in the same position:

- Forefinger in the left arrow
- Middle finger in the up/low arrow
- Ring finger in the right arrow

Guess what? When I stop playing I couldnt move them. My 3 fingers were paralized. It never happened again, but it was a funny situation(NOT SO BAD AS BORTīS ONE)

well first off, I have a chair that cost me about 25 bucks from best buy 3 yrs ago, it has since broken and if u tilt too far to the right it the seat part (not the legs) will roll over, dumping u onto the floor, this is what me and my friend's call the drunk chair cus it feels like you're drunk everytime u sit in it.  Well I was playing some first person shooter with a bunch of friends, I think it was good old Quake 2, and I'm one of those gamers that moves the way he wants his character to move, well I leaned too far to the right, took a header into the chest I have next to me and split myself open like a melon, not to mention getting fragged non stop afterwards cus I was putting gauze on

In the computer game Blood, there are these dismembered hands that creep around and jump on you, strangling your throat. You'll take major continuous damage unless you shake them off; you need to jam on the spacebar really fast. It's often painful since it's a hard thing to do. I would end up alternating fingers until they all got tired!

haha one time after i dislocated my knee, i was playing while sitting on the couch, i think it was a soccer game, pro evo if im not mistaken. Anyways i was getting pretty upset coz i couldnt score, and finally in the 80 something minute when they converted one of the flukiest goals ever, i lost my temper, threw the controller, and accidently fell off the couch. I twisted my knee which was already the size of a basketball, and ended up doing something ALOT worse to my knee then when i started playing..

I was with a friend at my place, playing Heroes 3 and i went in my brake time to wash some apples.. *BANG* no water.. i go back to my playing and finally finish after 3 hours.. so.. i wanted to go back in the kitchen.. i open the door from my room and suddenly see half of my house full of water... water came back: GREAT!!!.. so i go into the kitchen and head to stop the water from flowing.. i enter and have a feal a few shocks.. ELECTRICTY... one of those electrical power cable extedenrs was under wwater.Still i continued and rushed to the tap to stop the water. I've injured my hand on several occasions. Nothing can get me as furious as an uncooperative computer game.
