I just accidentally clicked on the "Vote" button in a poll instead of selecting a response, and the poll marked it as me having voted, despite me not having selected any of the poll options. It'd be nice if this was fixed.

Actually there is a California Law requiring colleges to inform students of crimes on campus. It gets really annoying.

Quick note: HC now has named quotes. You can put quote name=anything as the opening quote tag, and close the quote as usual. Quote name tag needs to be on the same line as the quote itself. You can use Quote Reply link under any post to see a sample code. Example:

Would be possible to remove the one year max delay for editing posts? It is very difficult to handle this in the wog forum for example, where projects take several years and need often updates.

This solution is fine.  I know the time limit for post editing is annoying sometimes.  If anyone wants an opening post updated (particularly useful for some of the WoG project threads), please send me an HCM with the new post you want to replace the old post with, plus a link to the thread in question, and I will replace the old post with the new one.  Please send the whole post (even parts which aren't updated) rather than little parts.  This will make sure I don't muck it up.  I already do this with Warmonger's VCMI thread updates periodically.

A lot of newcomers totally ignore the reply feature. Always on quote reply, then forums look like THIS. Maybe have some pop up or something which warns about.

A spoiler gadget in the tool box would be handy for many purposes. Long quotes in OSM, crash logs in Wog and  Era forums as well as others and of course when giving actual spoilers of tv shows and movies. I've seen this feature in many forums so I'm guessing its not hard to implant.

If you link to a specific post but that page also displays big pics, your browser will proceed to center screen, so the post-link will not be precise until all pics are in memory cache. Just to let you know.

Fall 2013 Wishlists

- People can upload their own avatars, whenever they want (but they aren't added to the AvatarList, which is reserved for HoMM-related avatars). Instead every account gets a cache of about 16 avatars max that can be uploaded once a member hit a post count of 50. (if the cache is full, you must delete one of your previous avatars from your personal database or use a default one.)

- Spoiler tags. Seriously. there's no reason to not have this. It could save us a lot of trouble in threads like the Game of Thrones one.

- the ability to minimize posts. It's handy enough to navigate through image spam or posts that feature huge quotes or if you simply don't want to read the posts of a certain member.

- Animated gifs as Avatars. seriously. 2001 is 12 years behind us. animated avatars of 150 kbs are perfectly possible to create AND MAINTAIN. I'm not sure if gifs can be posted on HC, if there's a problem with that, i'd love to have that fixed as well.

- a preview button so you can check what your post looks like before you post it. (no, the review link does NOT count as it just shows you the thread BEFORE your post.)

GIFs can be used as avatars. I know of at least one person that had one.

edit: two people

The two avatars weren't overly animated though (one is MightyMage's and another was some poster from several years back whose name escapes me). Highly animated GIFs would probably be an annoyance to many posters, especially since people like me would probably exploit it and use this as my avatar:
