Id say top person should be someone with experience, ive had bad experiences of picking people for top positions for wrong reasons. Its better to see to each individual and see where that person could do as much as work as possible.
But yes, this might problably get going better with mods backing so when it comes to getting voulenteers mods can have a big influence but that doesnt necessarily mean they should have it later.

Yeah perhaps someone who has done this sort of thing before, or someone used to organising a group of individuals like Val (though methinks he's a bit busy for the role). As far as leaders go you can pretty much rule me out, as though I have created a quarterly newsletter in work for 2 years that is largely paper based, and also I'm a relative newbie to the forum and am still learning about HC. Another thought to ponder is I think someone who is respected and known in both the tavern and the Tournament would be useful as they will draw support and work from both sides of the forum. I know a lot about the recent events in the Tavern, but hardly anything about the tournament.

Im sorry to say this but i dont think TOH members will support this at all. Even if i managed to get some to join my football betting competition i seriously doubt that they would be up for this. So i guess we just have to look in tavern for support if anywhere.
And dont under estimate yourself hudson, even if you dont have leading experiences your experience from other stuff can count for much too. And experience from working in a group and sharing responsibility is always valuable. But back to reality, to get this to work we will need quite a long voulenteer list.

Well perhaps an IM to each of the people on the old list would be a good idea asking if they still wanted to get involved? I don't mind doing it if you agree and then some more people will sign on whenever they come online

sounds like a great idea hudson, perhaps we should start a list with what kind of voulenteers we will need aswell since that would ease things up.
And if we are to publish this online what we will need the most is voulenteers that knows how to deal with HTML programs. Which means getting those should be a priority, we would also need one person responsible for lay out section to come up with the basic idea how the site should look like. Article writers and such will have to be 2nd priority for so long.

I'm fairly sure that there will be some people that would like to send an article or two to the newspaper once in a while, but not regularly (like me for example). I guess that there should be some info about whom to send them depending on what the article is about.

No It's a quote from the special edition of aliens. Hudson stands up in the drop ship and says "I am the Ultimate badass, state of the badass art, you do not want to **** with me". I thought it would be good to use it that's all
As for the newsletter it's nice to see so many people still interested. I'm trying to pull us all together to get it worked on at the moment. So far we seem to have agreed that it will be website based, but are still in discussion as to free (ie geocities) or HTML format. Once I know a bit more as to how it's likely to pan out and what will be needed (like deadlines etc) I will create a new thread as this one's getting a bit big. I also will suggest there what we are looking for like certain skills (IE cartoon makers or HTML editors etc)
And to anyone concerned, I have IM'd all of the original people who showed an interest in making a article or helping so if I left anyone out please speak now. I have also IM'd Sir Dunco. He takes all credit for this as this is his idea, his "baby" but as I have not seen him online now for some time I thought someone needs to kickstart it again and get things up and running. If anyone objects to me organising this, or the way it's being done speak up and suggest other ways or people. Hell I am busy enough right now, but I want to see this put into place so someone needs to start things again.
BTW I'd like to thank Sir_Stiven and Romana for their help and support recently as they have helped to get this back on track. I'm just the one daft enough to do all the IM'ing and research right now!

In that case just trust me it's there. Apone also says during the loading of the APC "grrrrrrrrrr absolutely badasses!" It refers to what they termed the Ultimate marine and Hudson is basically boasting that he is the best of the best.

As for geocities there are nothing that says that we cant use that as base, meaning that we can upload our finished html sites there so people concerned would have access to them easy aswell. We still need people with knowledge in making homesites, if anyone is interested feel free to IM me or just reply here.

Well..I saw Nebuka already offered some help in that area..
As for me ..I don't know much about the creating of sites and stuff like that but I am willing to learn about it or something..
Furthermore I think it would be wise to start thinking about the "jobs" each of us will take on.
